Got a strange feeling we are going to sign a right winger from a random European club that hasn't even been mentioned yet6
-
-
So to just try and get things together -
Potentially a signing before the weekend and then another signing from abroad on Monday hopefully?0 -
Relax everyone. All the signings happen on Sundays now.13

So much for Human Intelligence…the kit sponsor is correct. The kit manufacturer on the hand… 😉eastterrace6168 said:3 -

If the only reason the Kamara move to Pompey hasn’t gone through is because his agent is playing silly bollocks, then I’d much rather us just forget about him and move on to target no.2.
Reeks of us being messed around all window only for his move to Pompey to be agreed on deadline day and we’re stuck with a prem winger on loan with 0 professional appearances.6 -
Doh…🤦, you get the idea though sorry for my cock up😉TelMc32 said:

I think/hope we've got other options lined up but its not unfeasible to me that if Kamara is still waiting around at the very end of the window we go back in and try to hardball a deal at the last minute (squad size etc permitting.)JoshAddick said:If the only reason the Kamara move to Pompey hasn’t gone through is because his agent is playing silly bollocks, then I’d much rather us just forget about him and move on to target no.2.

Yes, because my uncle, brother, auntie all know exactly what I'm doing next in my career lol. My Mrs don't even know what I'm doing next......come to think of it, neither do I.....Italian_Addick said:
I know his family well and they’ve told me there’s no way he’s coming to us.follett said:Holsgrove’s uncle played for Millwall so there’s no way he comes here, his family hate us.5 -
Our wingers seems bit lopsided atm, we have 3 left winger that cut in to their right but we have just 1 left winger that cuts in to his left. Surely a winger is coming too on top of a cm or 20

I wouldn’t mind Kamara but 3M for someone with one good year in league 1 and average championship campaign wouldn’t say it’s the deal of the century

Still think we're being used as pawns by Kamaras agent and he'll ultimately end up at Pompey and we'll end up with a different target.

Kamara’s agent and/or NJ may be delaying the deal to see what happens with JRS first.
People will laugh but JRS probably isn’t as far out of our reach as you may think when you consider….
1. He only has 1 year left on his contract
2. His stock / value has dropped following a few few mediocre loan spells
3 Palace couldn’t find a buyer last season & ended up having to send him on loan to the Turkish league (which they & JRS will not want to let that happen again).

I dream that we’re talking to Kamara whilst looking at Mills (Oxford) as No.1 targetMarcusH26 said:Still think we're being used as pawns by Kamaras agent and he'll ultimately end up at Pompey and we'll end up with a different target.
In reality I think we’ll have other options which will be Euro punts. I don’t mind that tbh.1 -
Is there better value out there than that? We want a player that we can chuck straight into the starting line up, which is probably unlikely if it’s a foreign player where we might find better value. Can’t really afford a bedding in period while Apter is injured, we need someone to play straight awayCrispywood said:I wouldn’t mind Kamara but 3M for someone with one good year in league 1 and average championship campaign wouldn’t say it’s the deal of the century
It’s not my money of course but I think £3m for Kamara is a decent deal3 -
JRS doesn’t seem out of reach but is he really the type of winger Jones would want. Not really athletic or has the defensive workrate.1

Estoril play a friendly tomorrow evening, intrigued to see how they line up...17

I think the defensive requirement is less of a concern now he’d have a RB behind him (& our wingers no longer need to play as wing backs).Crispywood said:JRS doesn’t seem out of reach but is he really the type of winger Jones would want. Not really athletic or has the defensive workrate.
Despite the acquisition of Grant our team still lacks goals & JRS would help solve that (whereas Kamara less so)3 -

He won’t be bringing bags of goals.1 -
Good stats for a young winger.robroy said:Oh Eddie Youds... said:

If Kamara is £3m I'm sure JRS could be £4/5m3

This is a really interesting point , I suspect Palace will be looking for a permanent move somewhere in the Champ , I guess it all comes down to the fee they'd want for him off of a year of underwhelming loans.Oh Eddie Youds... said:Kamara’s agent and/or NJ may be delaying the deal to see what happens with JRS first.

It’s still a Nathan Jones team end of the day and he’s always going to have his non-negotiables.Oh Eddie Youds... said:

If we sign JRS I question at what point is this no longer a Jones side0
