    So realistically how much will an additional midfielder improve this squad? 

    I’m not sure a single player will be able take this team to that next level

    And yet he is playing league 1 still..why?, I’ve also seen him plenty against us in the past and he has looked good, and yet the same question applies why is he still league 1. Has to be a reason nobody has taken a chance on him.

    Please tell me you have some incoming news after what we just witnessed. I’m usually very optimistic as well and even I found that a struggle to watch.

    We need to replace Coventry and Docherty with much better players. 
    Weather our owners will make the money available remains to be seen.

    You can’t judge a season on pre season I have seen us win every pre season games scoring  lots of goals but we been relegated … it’s very hard when your playing to mixed up elevens to see any structure of play .. throught today again Grant and Knibbs were very good and Alli showed up well second half .. and it’s very difficult coming on in these games when the game dis-jointed then when you start …more concerned today with performances of Ramsey and Bell ….and again Campbell did not perform and Mwanda and  Chalobah who should have done better for the second found  it a lot tougher today … but give Leaburn credit looked a lot better and we did have good chances both Alli and Campbell should score then the result may have been different .. but it does not matter pre season has no bearing in the season ahead ..

    We've had the powder dry comment from NJ so let's see. We have to shift a few out to meet the squad numbers and imho still need a  central striker on top of a new wide player and the midfield upgrade.
