Anyone got an idea how much Harry Clarke is reported as going to Stoke for...😉16

His debut against Villa I thought Curbs had worked his magic again.Callumcafc said:Harry Clarke going for 3.5m makes me remember how absurd the fee was for Francis Jeffers back in the day.
2 goals and looked the real deal2 -
So your telling me we've signed someone but wont announce it because of some stupid "reveal" nonsense went on too long.sam3110 said:I've heard the reason we haven't announced the new signing from abroad yet is because we've been filming all day today for another hilarious skit involving Curbs and the AI stuff, which went long on filming and production and will now not be posted until tomorrow at the earliest
Unbelievable Jeff.

Includes add ons according to some reports.LittleAddick said:Three and a half million for Clarke is laughably overpriced1 -
Ogbene is a very Nathan Jones type of player. I would also say the same for Wes Burns. He may of signed a new contract but that's is so they can get a fee for him.TheSE7 said:
I’d quite like to see us go in for Ogbene personally. Has always been a handful whenever I’ve seen him play and is absolutely rapid.Former Luton as well so who knows.3 -
Carter said it was more like 9+9+9 nowMartinspringle said:Do we still have that 8+8+8 strategy? If so, presumably selling TC means they need to have an academy player breaking into the first team next year? Fullah? I think we’ve rejected bids for Kanu… Is Mbick still injured? Anderson has gone…. Championship is a big step up… feels a bit of a gamble when TC been one of few that’s proven they can perform at the level0 -
Oi, what's with the "we're" bit golfie...🙄golfaddick said:

rather depends on his agent and the relationship between them, a strong agent could persuade him to movebolloxbolder said:As I've said before, I think Campbell has a weak mentality and does not have enough moral fibre to upsticks and move away from London.
Charlton since the age of 9 is all he knows. May be some argy bargy re contractual terms, but expect him to sign an extension with us.0 -
Honestly, Stoke deserve to go down for pissing £3.5m on Clarke. A solid pro that did a solid job for us but come on now. What are we even doing here3

What on earth does moral fibre have to do with shyness/being quiet? Or mentality?
Any concerns will soon disappear when he looks at trebling his salary.

If we don't want to get sucked into a relegation battle our owners need to up their game.6 -

How the hell will he earn a living now? 🤣1 -
Is it really the going rate for a solid but unspectacular right back in the last year of his contract though? Or did Ipswich just see Stoke coming?blackpool72 said:

Clarke fell off a cliff towards the end of the season, as did our entire team. At his best he could be worth £3.5 million.3
-
I think it's probably a bit of both. Worth remembering Clarke came through the Arsenal academy and was apparently mustard the last time Ipswich went up to the Prem. I could see it being the case that Clarke is a better RB than he is a RWB, as he sometimes flattered to deceive in the final third (the less said about his shooting, the better), but I thought he looked a strong and tenacious 1-v-1 defender and was tidy on the ball while lacking some end product. Stoke played a 4-2-3-1 last year, as did Ipswich the last time they went up, so I expect Clarke to adapt pretty well.BetterCallSaul said:

Is that a 3.5m player in the last year of their deal? I'm not convinced, but I think it's closer to 3.5m than our owners would probably like.
We're playing in big boy waters now.2 -
Let’s see where Stoke finish this season.BetterCallSaul said:

If TC does go I really hope we look again at Will Ferry. Strikes me as a real NJ player and can play LW and LWB when we inevitably shift back to last seasons shape. Real engine on him.2
-
Given our budget, I wouldn’t have been too pleased to hear 3.5m of it went on Clarke. Decent player who I would’ve wanted back if he we could’ve got him for 1-1.5m, but Ipswich have had Stoke there.4

Ok boss. What time do you want me to start again tomorrow. By the way, do I send the expenses to you or is Ronnie the money man? 😀CafcWest said:To all those hanging out at airports trying to see the new player from abroad - I'd stand down. Ronnie clearly stated yesterday the the player was still aboard - so must be coming by boat...0 -

Not ideal news tonight but the owners aren’t stupid. They’ll know if we were to get relegated their asset is worth less10

Doesn’t matter if they can sell us by February. Unlikely I know but their aim will surely be to sell by the end of the seasonstjohnshill said:Not ideal news tonight but the owners aren’t stupid. They’ll know if we were to get relegated their asset is worth less0 -
Sales and loan signings it is for the remainder of the window2
-
Typo, you put a space between worth and less0
-
-
Freebies and loans it is then for the rest of the window. Can't see any substantial fees being outlaid0
