I highly doubt this is the first he's hearing of it

It's certainly not good news but they are committed to paying the bills, for no other reason than to sell a club that has points deductions or under embargo would be a pretty hard sale. None of that is the case at the moment and we should be grateful for that. They obviously think that there are buyers out there and are not just dipping their toes into the water, I wonder if their lack of further interest in the football club is linked to the lack of ownership of the Valley, they were sniffing around, allegedly, for a new site last year and now they realise that they won't get their money back on development of the Valley or any other site, perhaps they want to cut their losses and run.

Doubt it, he’s on a long contract. If we get relegated it doesn’t reflect badly on him now, if he keeps us up he looks like a miracle worker

He will keep going until the new owners come in, hope they back him but if not he gets a nice big pay off

Seems odd that Alli, for example, was signed to a 4 year deal.
Lots of stuff doesn't make sense. Why change the dugouts etc...

May aswell put a massive ‘for sale, going cheap’ sign on Jones Ramsay and TC’s heads.

If he stays, then he deserves 100% support from every single Charlton fan. Yes, some of the football at times hasn't been great. But he's been treated by an absolute mug by the owners and it's going to take an absolute miracle to stay up.

I eluded to the fact something wasn’t adding up a few days ago with the late trialist arrival and lack of what we really needed, it adds up now but didn’t really think it was the owners giving up.

Is it possible that one of the major stakeholders wants to sell and the others are not willing to buy theirs so a stake is for sale rather than the whole lot?

There is a lot at the moment that doesn’t really make sense. How much some have been involved, how they’ve visibly backed NJ, how they’ve been doing changes to the stadium and women’s team, how they’ve spent money on Alli. It just doesn’t all add up.

Assume there’s far more to this story than meets the eye.

Could this be the big news for Monday we guessed would be an incoming midfielder?

Yeah but a bit like selling a house. Some people think a bit of paint will make the value go up.

I think you're probably right but they've been actively looking for new investment for what, six months? And have had to change tack somewhat, wouldn't make me feel confident if I was the one selling my stake

At least we've built up some emotional resilience after multiple shit show events in the last 15 plus years.

No, but now it’s in the public domain and the money hasn’t been spent on players needed to compete for next season, he has cause to walk and everyone understands why.

IMO he is by far the best thing we have at this club, we should do everything to keep him happy.

He walks from a lucrative contract with no pay off if he chooses that way to go.

dosnt make a lot of sense for him financially

No signing and the clubs being sold. Hope you’ve got a fallout bunker in your garden 😉

Think they had to change the dugouts and frankly speaking who else in the championship would of been interested in Ali

I had guessed that by giving players longer deals, clubs can ‘spread’ the debt across that contract. Makes sense especially with SCR

I feel sorry for us fans and desperately sorry for Jones. He’s produced miracles but now the job is untenable. It’s going to be loans going forward.

The biggest error is in all this hullabaloo is they've forgotten to send a cab for Jordan Holsgrove at Stanstead.
