Pretty sure it wasn’t stjohnshill who said the foreign player was arriving yesterday and tbf he could have been completely right about Osei-tutu failing the medical since no one else has picked him up yet and he looked like more than a capable L1 fullback
He also didn't say it was Osei-Tutu, think that bit was 2+2 = 5

It was @Redrobo who mentioned the foreign player. I fear he asked for the transfer to be cancelled due to his concerns he would be labelled ITK!

Players not seen in the training vid today
Brooks, Asiimwe, Sichenje, Edwards, Fullah, Tanto, Godden, Kelman, Kanu.

With the exception of the injured players that very much feels like a group of players that will be on the way out.

Turns out the foreign signing was Mo Salah but Trabzonspor swooped in at the last minute

Brooks played with the U21s at the weekend so could be with them. I'd be surprised to see a Fullah loan but wouldn't be against it

Shouldn't that be Preston by now?

I thought they were meant to be upping the budget this summer, unless I am mistaken.
Even if they are, the increase is unlikely to keep pace with the sharp increase in player values in just one year. See Harry Clarke, Galbraith and many others.

At the weekend with Knibbs starting Carey ill, JRC came on at CAM over Fullah so he looks a bit down the pecking order.

Unlike Mwamba and Mbick Fullah looks like he needs toughening up and get used to the physicality of men’s football

JRC point is a good one. I'd be happy for Fullah to go on loan but he's effectively a free squad player in terms of places due to his age. How confident is the club that Knibbs won't get injured again?

Fullah also gives us an extra option out wide (I know not his actual position). If TC does leave and we end up with 4 wingers, Fullah might be useful to keep around as an extra option

If we keep TC, then I’d definitely be letting Fullah go out on loan

Where has the Aribo rumour come from? Or is just the extensive Charlton Life scouting network up to its old tricks again?
Given our alleged financial desperation, a poster was just trying to think up the cheapest player we could possibly sign. Having watched Aribo for Nigeria in 2023, I am guessing he would be willing to pay to play for us.

I’m not questioning StJohnsHill, but he does tend to drop some info then disappear with no further context.

Are we sure on the hit rate here?
Actually I’m quite clearly questioning hm here….
Info from Sparrows Lane can be very hard to get, especially around signings. The source is the same as always, so no reason not to trust them again.

I didn’t say anyone was signing today, so sorry if you were expecting that. I said that a signing is very close.

    I’ll always share what I can whenever I can….

No no my man, said in jest. Your info is very welcome and greatly appreciated.

Keep doing what you’re doing. 👍

What is fullah’s actual position? I literally have no idea.

    10. But for us he's played a fair amount on the right, particularly in pre-season but also against Millwall last year. Last pre-season he played some LWB, played there in the cup as well. He's looked...ineffectual at RW. The problem for him is we have Knibbs and Carey ahead of him, neither of whom might quite have his passing vision but both of whom are stronger defensively and physically than Ibby. Why I think he could use a loan if we get another RW in.

Attacking midfielder but hard for him to get game time with Carey and Knibbs their and looks like JRC could play there as welll
