Fee of £2m it appears, perhaps our valuation of TC put them off?1
-
Don’t think we were ever interested it seemed it was his agent trying to get Pompey to up their offer … now watch us sign him today lolBedsaddick said:
He’s shit anyway 😉TheSE7 said:
That’s that for that one then.1 -
Where they ever interested ..YannTheMann said:Preston agree deal with Boro for Delano Burgzorg, similar role to TC where he can play on the wing or up top and is very physical but needs to put the technical side together, wonder if that's them moving on?1 -

Cawley seems to think there was some interest, just not clear how far it got beyond interest, doesn't appear a bid has been made as of yet0 -
Well they were interested enough for Rich Cawley to post on X about it.RonnieMoore said:

Would suggest if they've agreed a fee for Burgzorg that they've moved on from TC1
-
Moving on?! Wait thats not how it works, what you have to do is ID your main target, drag it on all summer, fuck it up on deadline day and sign yet another Matt Smith. We've been doing it for ages now, this isn't news.MarcusH26 said:Would suggest if they've agreed a fee for Burgzorg that they've moved on from TC

Unless a promotion chasing team comes in for him, I can’t see him going this window. He’ll most likely run his contract down unless we make him a no brainer offer. He probably deserves it though, with a decent team around him he could be a great player.NabySarr said:
I’d not be that surprised if it’s true. Preston is a crap move, they’re likely to be just as shit as we are. He might know that there are other clubs looking at him this window so he’d rather wait and see if they match our asking priceCrispywood said:
That’s what I cant understand if TC is so happy here that he’s willing to reject the opportunity for more money, and chance to play for a fanbase that wont abuse him why not sign a new deal. Likewise if he doesn’t want to sign why hasn’t he jumped at the opportunity to get out of here 1 year earlier than he had to doesn’t make senseAberystwythAddick said:
If he refuses to leave and doesn’t sign a new contract that is the absolute worst case scenariofenaddick said:
That's a glorious rumour to say because it's totally unprovable. I wouldn't be angry if it was true though, would be a decent valuation and might increase our chances of TC stayingFoxycafc said:According to he who must not be named from the other forum. Not sure if I'm to post it on here as I don't know his reputation. Is he reliable?"A proper piece of info for you.
Preston have met our 3.5 million asking price for TC but the player has decided he doesn’t want to go and not keen on the deal."
Or he might want to leave next summer. Financially that would be the best move for him, and also football wise it might be the best move for him. If he has a half decent season then he will have better offers than Preston next summer, and if he doesn’t then I’m sure we will still have an offer on the table1 -
If Preston are now trying to sign wingers getting Burgzorg would still only leave them with 1 LW, feasibly they could still be in for Campbell as well obviously depends on their financial situation0

100% agree.SouthLincsAddick said:

Wouldn't surprise me if TC didn't fancy Preston, he seems a shy person who has only ever been at Charlton. Quite a big change.12
-
Looks like Kamara close to joining Portsmouth. What a desperately disappointing window but we just have to get on with it. If we drop down to league 1 which is highly likely not owning any of the assets we are not going to be appealing to any potential owners or investors .5

One of his best mates has just moved to Blackpool though, if they both live somewhere in the middle of the 2 they can still spend time togethercafcsinger said:Wouldn't surprise me if TC didn't fancy Preston, he seems a shy person who has only ever been at Charlton. Quite a big change.1 -
I never subscribed to the "Cult of Dobbo" while he was here but would have him back in an instant if available.
Docherty was an upgrade at the time once we stopped faffing about playing him as a 10, his discipline and positioning were better hence the lack of "last ditch chuck yourself at 'em tackles", but the last two seasons at Wrexham, playing with better players and Dobson has improved a lot, especially of the more football side as those stats suggest. He is the better player now and think a much better version of Docherty helps Coventry out more (whos stats also looked greatly better than expected) would still want a big upgrade on Coventry (I say that as a cov fan so calm down Leuth) but..
If money is tight, Dobson in on loan with Chalobah on a free to back up Cov (plus wheezebag JRC I guess) and spend whatever there is on that right winger and its been ok...0 -
10 Days until the Derby Match,
Still haven’t signed any central midfielders,
You couldn’t make it up!13 -
All this talk of Dobson is a moot point if he doesn't want to come back here (he left once before remember) or if Jones doesn't want him back1
-
He might have a little expectation placed on him & that might be too much for the fella. Nice & easy with us.cafcsinger said:Wouldn't surprise me if TC didn't fancy Preston, he seems a shy person who has only ever been at Charlton. Quite a big change.0 -
not getting Kamara isn’t the end of the world mixed reviews buy Hull fans and essentially buying him off his 1 good L1 year 3 years agoBerkshire1970 said:Looks like Kamara close to joining Portsmouth. who we get instead will be the telling thing. If it’s Redmond it sums up where we’re going8 -
To be fair, he left when the club was in a very different place, both on and off the pitchsam3110 said:All this talk of Dobson is a moot point if he doesn't want to come back here (he left once before remember) or if Jones doesn't want him back1 -
Then something needs to give. He either needs to sign a new deal or man up and move oncafcsinger said:Wouldn't surprise me if TC didn't fancy Preston, he seems a shy person who has only ever been at Charlton. Quite a big change.0 -

Would Redmond even be that bad? him and apter on the right isn’t a bad combination5

Obviously easy to say when it's not your money but i'd imagine it's worth keeping TC if we couldn't get at least £2m for him. We would still get compensation if he leaves next summer anyway.0

I want a player called Burgzorg.9
-
Not that bothered about Kamara , always felt like we were being used by his agent to drive the price up for Pompey.
Suspect our new wideman will ultimately be from abroad and we'll have to judge off an EDM YouTube video of clips.

That compensation would probably be about 300-400k though. I’d sell in a heartbeat if that money was alllwed to be re-invested instantly into a midfielderPelling1993 said:Obviously easy to say when it's not your money but i'd imagine it's worth keeping TC if we couldn't get at least £2m for him. Apter couldn’t even get in Bolton’s squad last season, so that’s uninspiring enough.3
