Surely the away shirt is released this week.
I asked in the club shop yesterday, they said they've not received a date for it yet but expect it will be the week leading up to the West Ham game as we'll probably wear it then for the first time.

That would make sense, definitely wont be using it at Derby.

Mainly because it's not at Derby!

Surely they'd want it to be available to buy in the club shop for the Derby game though

Assume we're wearing the third kit at Cheltenham then?

I went and made the nine year old a purple FKW yesterday and nobody in the shop knew when the away kit was being released and it didn't look like there was any space/setup for it getting ready.

I phoned on Monday and got the same reply, "sorry no idea, but might be in the next two weeks", probably staff in the shop must get sick of fans  enquiring I would have thought.!. It's a present for my grandson  so hopefully next week , I am up on Wednesday so fingers crossed, I will drive down there and collect if in the shop. I was going to get a voucher, but his father said just wait.

Pretty strange that we've still not announced away kit despite seemingly most of us knowing what it looks like thanks to Milli

I believe us and Birmingham are the only Championship clubs to not have announced the away kit yet

Just catching up on the Meet the Directors presentation. Interesting snippet that we’re not sure what kit we can wear vs West Ham. How is that allowed to happen? For one - surely someone at Reebok is tasked with reviewing what colour clashes could potentially come up and making sure At least one of the three kits is wearable against any one opponent. And, surely that should be part of the EFL regs?

Seems a pretty fundamental consideration of the kit design process.

second email from the manufacturer..... Reebok

    Hi Ken,

Thanks for your feedback, and I'm sorry for the confusion.

Unfortunately, we really don't have any insight into the decisions around product launches, release dates, or marketing plans. If we had any information to share, we absolutely would.

I completely understand your frustration, especially with the first away game approaching and the mixed signals from social media and the release of the third kit. From the customer service side, however, we're not provided with any information regarding the reasons for delays or changes to launch schedules.

Hopefully the club's Zoom meeting on Thursday will provide some clarity for supporters.

Thank you again for your understanding, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts with us,

    Jasmin

Seems a rather confusing situation, as according to the first email I received it is up to the CAFC marketing department when it is released? . Reebok seem very transparent, they have no reason to email me and update me as a fan. I tried ringing the club again yesterday, still no idea as when the kit will be released? according to the shop. Yes, it is up to the club to release the kit when it wishes to, but it seems a very strange to have released the third kit, then had the fiasco of the social media by the player wearing the kit a few weeks ago, and no release date to even tell fans when it is available. Yes, I could buy a voucher, but a bit of paper for a 5 year old on his birthday really does not cut it  for  me on his birthday. I am able to call in the shop every Wednesday, so fingers crossed perhaps this week? . Who is the Marketing manager at CAFC anyway?

We've all seen the away kit though, it's ecru isn't it?

    How does this:

Clash in any way at all with this?

@ken from bexley It might be worth contacting their UK licensee, Sports Hub Group. I think they're responsible for distribution. The only email I could find for them is hello@sportshubgroup.com. I don't think they have a good reputation when it comes to customer service, so not sure how much luck you'll have, but may be worth a go.

I know you are 2 miles from the pitch there, but surely the above is good enough?
Not a replica kit wearer but imho the ecru shirt is the best of this years three.

Did anybody ask questions to the relevant people today as to when the away top is coming out?

And that we'll almost certainly need to wear next Saturday.

I think it’s clear there’s a problem with the supplier for the away kit and it’s late. The Directors’ meeting left them skirting the issue but Rubashow or someone off-camera commented to Charlotte that it will be “shown” this coming week. We have to assume it won’t be available for West Ham as the confusion they mentioned around needing to wear a mix-and-match ensemble to avoid colour clashes, as the full third kit is purple and blue (ie close to West Ham).

Even if it's not available for fans to buy, surely they can rustle up enough kits for the actual team to wear at West Ham?

The mix and match may well be because of the shorts clashing with the West Ham shirt, so we'll be in Ecru tops but a bit of a ropey combo of Ecru socks and white home shorts
