Terrible waste of money.fenaddick said:
We haven't seen enough of Knibbs and Kelman yet I would say, but I think Tanto & Apter are done here, 4 million quids worth of players in those two alone spunked.
If Knibbs and Kelman don't kick on this season, looking at 8-10 million pounds worth of players flopped.
Makes you wonder how much homework is done on these players and whether or not they suit Nathan Jones as a manager.3 -
I'm putting this alongside '08 Therry Racon was better than Greg Docherty' as most hilarious comment of the summer so far. You know you've got too deep into the self dick-punching when you're tearfully looking at a squad with Conor McGrandles in it and asking 'why not me?!'J BLOCK said:

You reckon Bolton and Lincoln have better squads?J BLOCK said:
The problem you have, is that the other squads are better (bar Blackburn).Covered_End_Lad said:
It’s a better squad than we had last season, and that squad didn’t get relegated.J BLOCK said:

I’d say our squad is head and shoulders above Lincoln and probably Boltons.Braziliance said:
Wouldn't say their squads are better, but they both have players that start for us. We will see for ourselves this season.Crispywood said:
Just straight up being negative for the sake of it if you think Bolton and Lincoln have better squads than usJ BLOCK said:

I'd have George Wickens any day of the week over Kaminski, and I reckon Jack Moylan (now signed for Cardiff funny enough) & Rubin Colwill walk into our team, Cardiff also have a couple of tidy defenders.
Saying their squads are better is a stretch, but I don't think we are exactly head and shoulders above them either to be honest.
Lincoln’s squad was mostly built on a bottom half league 1 budget. Ours is much better and I’d be shocked if Lincoln weren’t 24th given they’ve also lost their manager and best player this summerBolton were play off winners like us. But they’ve lost 26 goals and 19 assists from their squad last season that came from loan players that they haven’t got back. And their manager is moaning that they’re struggling to bring players in so I doubt they’ve replaced that loss yet, let alone made the jump from league 1 to championship level squad6 -
Dykes would improve our squad, but wouldn't improve our team... Not fussed, we don't have many squad places left and need to be signing starters1

WARNING - THIS POST IS JUST MY OPINION - I’m not saying it’s fact!
My opinion is that Dykes can do a good job when you play to his strengths. Should he have been our main target though - no imo.For example, bring him on when, god willing, we are winning a game and he’ll batter defenders and hold it up.I’d put him:
1. Kelman championship class
2. Godden championship class
3. Dykes championship class
4. Leaburn championship potential
5. Kanu Championship potential
6. Olaofe League 1 class
No idea with mbick - haven’t seen enough of him but obviously highly rated7 -
Funny how you were so keen on Piergianni who was a bang average centre half.Braziliance said:I hope I don't see the same people who accuse people of bed wetting and being impatient panicking over Lyndon bloody Dykes, he's bang average. Less than 100 goals for club and country in a 13 year career at 11 different clubs, over around 500-550 appearances, something like 0.16 goals a game?
The very definition of a journeyman striker. We can and should be doing better. He will be a fringe player for Millwall, nothing more.
Thanks for his contributions, good luck to him.8 -

I think if we really wanted Dykes he would have signed by now, hopefully someone better and that suits the style we going to try and play.Hopefully this midfielder is worth the wait and being patient.0

My question would be, will Leaburn and Mbick reach their potential if we sign Lyndon Dykes on a multi-year contract. I think he’d be a barrier to that and so I’m happy that we haven’t signed himDanny Addick said:WARNING - THIS POST IS JUST MY OPINION - I’m not saying it’s fact!

I would quite literally put my head in my oven if we signed him in the Championship.
A very good league 1 centre back (no debate), but limited. Would have been a good stop gap signing for a team looking for promotion in the League below, that's as far as it goes.1 -

I've totally lost count of when or where these things were said
StJohnsHill & Gavin Carter both indicated someone was very close but in retrospect, feels deliberately vague. We live in hope!
