Imagine walking into the office and your trousers fall down, and then you're hit by a falling piano.golfaddick said:Imagine Tanto keeping them up with his goals & we go down. Wouldn't hear the last of it on here.24 -
Bad side of it is that we will probably be footing some of the wages, but it also gives Lincoln flexibility to buy another player if they’re not splashing out on a transfer fee.roseandcrown said:Tanto on loan may be useful. We can see how he fairs with a year in the championship and if does well keep or cash in.
I hope it’s a permanent move1 -
Sorry to be negative but he won't do well in this league, he's just not good enough. Very surprised another championship club would be interested.roseandcrown said:Tanto on loan may be useful. We can see how he fairs with a year in the championship and if does well keep or cash in.3 -

How is a Millwall fan allowed to have over 3,000 posts on a Charlton forum? Am I missing something?MillwallFan said:
One is already injured. Ivanovic done his metatarsal pre season. Arconte looks very promising but is inexperienced at championship level. I suspect Dykes will very much be 4th choice once Ivanovic is back from injury and Arconte has a few appearances under his belt.TheHerminator said:
So he's gone there to sit on the bench and hope someone gets injured?AberystwythAddick said:
Look at there attacking options he’s worse than all of themTheHerminator said:
How do you know that?AberystwythAddick said:
He’s going to be their 3/4 choice striker and would’ve likely been our first.TheHerminator said:Dykes isn't good enough for us remember.....He’s not good enough
But you're still on my Xmas card list.
Just.

Not really. Lincoln are odds on to go back down and haven't been very active transfer wise. It could equally be they are taking a chance that backfires massively.RC_CAFC said:
Could it be that he’s not that rubbish after all and we’re a bit overly critical of players who don’t shine straight away?mart77 said:

Sounds like chalobah and a right winger are imminent from jones’ interviews and the “we’ll need to be patient” is holsgrove.3
-
I noticed that Jones, when asked about the midweek behind closed doors game on the pre match clip on the club’s socials, he mentioned it was “good to get 60 minutes into the legs of Collins Sichenje, Ibby Fullah, Daniel Kanu and Nathaniel… Nathan Asiimwe.”11

At his best he can be a nuisance and causes defenders trouble with him pace and pressing, but you need more than that to play in the championship. First touch and finishing ability are very poor.Talal said:

And academy players who played under him at Charlton. And if they played at Luton as well... it would be a CL members wet dream...AberystwythAddick said:The part about Jones knowing the rw very very well.Come on someone must have a program or the time to research every right sided player that’s played under jones1 -
I don't think we ever saw the best of Tanto. NJ mostly deployed him as a target man, which is not his game.6

I'm sorry but comparing Tanto Oloafe to Nicholas Jackson might be one of the most deluded/flattering things I've ever heard about a Charlton player.14
-
This is going to sound potentially quite rude and arrogant, so I apologise if any Lincoln fans stumble across this message, but this move would really suit Lincoln.mart77 said:
They have a knack of turning bit part players into something and they may be preparing for life back in League 1 (hopefully) he's still entering his prime years and I could see that being the kind of move where he can rebuild himself.
A move where I think it suits all 3 parties and hopefully we get a fee and some wages of the books to make room for someone new.4 -
Was Nathan around when Joe Aribo was still here ?SteveACS said:

Why would he hide saying his name..?Callumcafc said:I noticed that Jones, when asked about the midweek behind closed doors game on the pre match clip on the club’s socials, he mentioned it was “good to get 60 minutes into the legs of Collins Sichenje, Ibby Fullah, Daniel Kanu and Nathaniel… Nathan Asiimwe.”He will or won’t sign in the next 24 hours Jones said on Cawleys piece.1 -
I think he's had his best football as a second striker running the channels.fenaddick said:
I’m not sure what is though, he doesn’t seem like he’d be a good lone striker and his wing play is poorChunes said:I don't think we ever saw the best of Tanto. NJ mostly deployed him as a target man, which is not his game.2 -

One that will surprise many considering he doesn’t fall into the squad limits but… one to get my ITK status back 🤣
Gough to Bristol Rovers on loan.

If we end up finalising our transfer window by bringing in all of Chalobah, Holsgrove and Edozie, I’d be extremely extremely happy and would honestly feel inclined to give it a 8.5 or 9/10.Still personally think we need a new GK as well but Jones seems to love Kaminski despite the howlers.5

Terrible waste of money.fenaddick said:
We haven't seen enough of Knibbs and Kelman yet I would say, but I think Tanto & Apter are done here, 4 million quids worth of players in those two alone spunked.
If Knibbs and Kelman don't kick on this season, looking at 8-10 million pounds worth of players flopped.
Makes you wonder how much homework is done on these players and whether or not they suit Nathan Jones as a manager.I find that absolutely laughable. You’re floating the theory they didn’t bother researching players. How on earth would you know that?
Do you not think having the second-lowest playing budget in the league forced us into taking calculated risks on players who had a higher chance of not making the step up? It may not even have been a choice, it might simply have been the only option available.
None of us knows what compromises or gambles the club had to make last summer, and neither do you. The reality is we’ve got nowhere near the financial resources of most teams in this league.
Trying to pin the blame on our best manager in years just feels like refusing to accept the real problem: we don’t have the money to compete on a level playing field.
