No one has said that. But he should be involved more considering our lack of options. He’s also played more than 15 minutes, started at Norwich and didn’t look out of place. Keenan gough has done well whenever needed, think this is a good move for him, he plays like a more experienced player than he is, have high hopes for him. I think maybe he will turn out to be the best of our youngsters at the moment.3

I think Gough is talented beyond his years and think he will have a great career, I am a little disappointed he is going out on loan if I'm honest as I think he has proven he can play at this level but playing week in week out will be good for him I guess.2

I see him as a very good prospect. Be interesting to see how he goes, especially if he plays at the base of the midfield there1

I think Jones has said something similar before so it explains why we'd be happy to let him to to a team that plans on playing him in that position. I don't think he'd look as comfortable in a back four so getting him so good experience in his natural position is great for usfenaddick said:

He's been good as a DM for the u21s in the streams I’ve seen. Very similar to how he plays CB, wins the ball, keeps possession, good reader of the game, doesn’t make many mistakes. He should do well for Bristol Rovers, it’ll be interesting to follow his progress and see which position he spends the most time in.
I’m sure he’d have done well in a L1 loan, but like Kanu regular football in L2 may be better than potentially only being a L1 squad player.1 -

Good loan for Keenan .. a figure of fun but Steve Evans is a good manager and the pirates finished last season in good form .. bit like Alex Mitchell, gone to a club which looks like it's on the rise (though Alex aint comin back)2

Gough's a very consistent player who barely put a foot wrong last season and probably should have had more starts. I think he'll absolutely smash it in league two if he's got the right set up around him.2

I can see the logic of loaning him out this season, as his position last season of the right CB in a 3 doesn't exist this season. He's not ready to play at CB in a 2, and there are loads of players ahead of him, while playing as a 6 in the Championship requires some match experience.3
