I think that whoever posted that could well have been accurate in his timings of that medical for Ouma if the all the rumours are true. Given who it is, it’d take a few days to get international clearance.AberystwythAddick said:Does that mean we can say 🩺👀🔜4 -
I give notice now that I shall continue to use the "Linda" trope on every occasion a new target is mooted. It was the name of a girl I used to meet on the school bus when I was 14, and I have never forgotten her.daveydanger said:Which are more shite and done to death?

Squad spaces are the last of our issues. We have plenty of players who are not Championship standard, and who never will be, who we can drop from the squad. The basic issue is money.I’d be very surprised if we signed chalobah, Ouma and Holsgrove - squad spaces start to become a real issue

This is a bit of a red flag for me Elfs , thanks for getting the information though. Gives me a bit of a worry about the character side of things.ElfsborgAddick said:Another mate has come back with this.He was good for us in Europe, but stupid, arrogant and probably wrong people around him. They threatened people who worked for IF Elfsborg(Stefan Andreasson)Good footballer but stupid. What my mate did not add, is that Stefan Andreasson is the CEO at Elfsborg and basically runs the show.5 -
If my maths is correct (and it could be wrong), after Tanto’s departure we are still at 26 qualifying squad members, so from here, however many come in, we need one more on top of that to leave (or not register a squad member, which I can’t see happening).0

Sounds like he’ll turn in a MoM performance then punch Gabriel Brener.16

Option 3 isn’t allowed anymore and options 1&2 come at a large financial cost which is why the squad spaces is an important issuewolfgang said:

Surely there must be another proper rumour this weekend. The Rumours thread is like a London bus: you wait forever for one then three come at once.2

I’m pretty sure he said he didn’t want to develop other teams young talent over our own, and didn’t want to loan players who were trying to get back to full fitness after injury. I don’t think he was opposed to loans if they improved the team in an area we needed.fenaddick said:
Nathan Jones does not have an anti loan policy! Off the top of my head he’s loaned 7 players in his time here. His policy is to favour the academy over loans if possible but not to rule out loansCrispywood said:
I know Jones has his anti loan policy but if Partizan offered a loan with an option to buy surely we can offer something similar. Since I skipped 16 pages I don't know where the Ouma thing has come from, and there is nothing in Czech media about him at all, but he has basically not played for Slavia since they signed him. So nobody I know here will have any view on him. But -sorry if that has been mentioned already- Lech were Polish champions last season, and he seems to have been an ever-present. It's not that good a league, but about the same as Czech, and Lech are probably a stronger club financially than Slavia, they averaged 31k last season. Way above Partizan Belgrade, that's for sure.
So for a 22 year old on loan, that's quite a season. But then, I wonder why Lech don't want to make it permanent?4 -
He had disciplinary issues which led to him being dropped opposed to them not rating him. You don’t want to many bad apples at the club but we’re in desperate need of quality.PragueAddick said:Since I skipped 16 pages I don't know where the Ouma thing has come from, and there is nothing in Czech media about him at all, but he has basically not played for Slavia since they signed him. Callum McCowatt is also upset with fans who displayed their dissatisfaction with the New Zealand international on a controversial banner during the match against FC Copenhagen on Sunday.
MLS club Minnesota United FC has submitted a multi-million-dollar bid for Silkeborg IF winger Callum McCowatt. McCowatt is eager to make the move to America, but has now publicly expressed frustration after Silkeborg rejected the offer and labeled him not for sale. The Silkeborg fans on Sunday launched a banner blaming McCowatt for his wishes to leave the club.
"Fans perhaps shouldn't believe everything they read before putting up banners. It’s quite disrespectful to me, because I do everything for the fans, and I love playing for them."
"I don't think they should question my commitment to the club. It’s disrespectful. Of course, I would like to play for a bigger club, but people should never be angry with someone for wanting to reach a higher level", says Mccowatt to Bold.dk.
In an interview with Viaplay, the attacking player also lashed out at Silkeborg's management. "They (Minnesota) made a bid for me, but the club said no. The club has said that I’m not for sale, so... what can you do?"
"Between January and now, I was told that the perfect time for a sale would be after the World Cup. Silkeborg is the kind of club where you join, and they tell you that if you perform well, you can take the next step. Then, all of a sudden, they say 'wait'—that it has to wait until the next transfer window."
"Only because they can't recruit new players. That’s a major problem at the club. There are probably players who don't want to come here because they can see how hard it is to leave again. I’ve probably said too much already, but it is what it is," he told Viaplay.
27-year-old McCowatt has recorded 28 goals and 12 assists in 108 matches for Silkeborg.

They are good. But this one is more of an insight into a Nathan Jones pre season. It heartens me to think he’s relaxed enough to find time to do that for them. Think it’s a good sign.AberystwythAddick said:
