Ouma sounds like one for the future, not one that is going give us a step up we are hoping for. Maybe I am wrong, let’s see. But good we are scouting wider.
Does he? He’s just played an integral role in the midfield of the Polish champions. Can’t see him coming to be ‘one for the future’.
Let’s see, seems bit unproven and played 20 odd games. Seems tough task for him to provide the step up we need. Time will tell.
He's played in the Champions League as well...

He's played in the Europa league and the Champions league - didnt get overly far but even so that has to be a step up over our current options.
Teams in Wales and Ireland played in those, and basically national league standard. Let’s just see. Can’t see him coming in and being the big step
    we need..

might have missed a few posts but didn't the "20" odd games get debunked pretty quickly as 34?

That’s not to say he won’t be a good player, just don’t think instantly

Played 33 games last year to be fair if you include Europe. As you say, no way we can prove it now. Think if he comes, he’ll be expected to be a starter, but that doesn’t mean for sure he’ll be up to the task.

Cotteril seems to think a "couple" of our players are potentially leaving for a few mil
Worryingly those worth that we probably wouldn't want to go.
I may be in the minority, but if a decent bid of 4/5m came in for Carey, I’d be taking it personally.

Always nice to hear an opposition manager talk highly about our players. Yes, Cheltenham are 2 divisions below us, so we OUGHT to be much better than them, but still good to hear from a stalwart manager like Cotterill.

Always reminds me of how the late Kenny Jackett would always be really complimentary about Charlton as a club every time we played them lot, made me massively respect him

Yeah he was. Exactly the standard of player we should be aiming for pre injury-  He got injured pretty badly and basically never recovered right?

Can we not use racist terms like this please.

I know some Spurs fans use it but that doesn't make it OK.

Felt to me like he was talking about TC too. Feel like he’s very well spoken about in footballing circles. He had a strong game today.

It’s vital that we get TC to sign a new contract this upcoming week.

Second time today someone has accepted a critique like this, edited and apologised. Meanwhile over on X a "fan" is being openly racist and fighting back when challenged. Another reminder of how good this forum is

I agree - he will be a major threat if he isn’t our only threat like he was last year

Got a  nasty feeling Cotterill was referring to him regarding players leaving for good money. I think he mentioned it after talking about the quality of our goals and TC scored the best one.

Think that game clearly highlighted where we’re still lacking.

Chalobah miles better than Coventry need someone else on his kind of level to partner him. Looked like we didn’t play with a RW annoyingly Grant and TC just so much better off the left and if we can find a team to take Kaminski so we can sign a new no.1 would be a miracle
    I thought Coventry was outstanding...
Yep, more forward passes today than lat season combined 😂 he even touched the ball in the Cheltenham penalty area. I don’t think Coventry is the problem, the problem is him and doc so not work together
Coventry isn't the problem, Docherty is not the problem... but Coventry and Docherty together IS a problem. They both have strengths and weaknesses but neither of them have strengths that counter the others weaknesses.
Chalobah lets Coventry have time to actually play and pick a pass. I would imagine that Docherty would probably also look more effective with Chalobah beside him as someone who can set the tempo and lets Doc loose to hassle and harry the oppo with confidence.

Hopefully Ouma does come in and gives us different combinations and options we can use against different set ups.

That's how I see it and commented as much on the Chalobah thread. I would have gone for Docherty over Coventry today but could well be wrong, as the combo of Chalobah and Coventry worked well.

Listening to the Pod. Sounds like NJ had to shoot off "for good reason" so interviews were short
Going home......not far to Cardiff from Cheltenham.
True. Except his family are in Southampton.
NJ must be spreading his seed widely. His family are in Cardiff, in Poole, and in Southampton. Where else?

I’ve seen the so called fan on X and I’m normally laid back but I felt very uncomfortable reading that. Had to respond to him.
