It's a forum Balham, and whatever you think, people come on here to get a positive vibe about the club improving the squad. It also shows that the average football supporter can be wide of the mark when it comes to what will improve the team, try 'Ladapo' and 'Coady' and you get my meaning.DiscoCAFC said:
I’ve seen the so called fan on X and I’m normally laid back but I felt very uncomfortable reading that. Had to respond to him.fenaddick said:
Second time today someone has accepted a critique like this, edited and apologised. Meanwhile over on X a "fan" is being openly racist and fighting back when challenged. Another reminder of how good this forum isDDOUBLEE said:

I know some Spurs fans use it but that doesn't make it OK.4 -

He obviously didn't make that up and get lucky.
I read everything on here because I enjoy it but let's call it what it is, 99.9% waffle. Really don't get insulting and alienating the few people actually putting rumours on the rumour thread.
but yes won’t be sharing anymore what I hear. Seems like people would rather listen to their own hot air than actual real info.Enjoy33 -
Rumours this morning that Arsenal, Man City and Barcelona are all preparing bids for Nathaniel Chalobah53

You see 'Balham' this is exactly what I was talking about ! Marvellous!AFKABartram said:Rumours this morning that Arsenal, Man City and Barcelona are all preparing bids for Nathaniel Chalobah3 -
Nixon has posted all the rumours he mentioned. Without subscribing I can't see which one is us. Just can't bring myself to give him £2 😂0

Very brief mention that Prestons chances of signing TC are increasing but no actual Charlton rumour.6

Goals like yesterday's might attract other clubs to TC, ones with bigger pockets than Preston.1

I really wanted to know about Ouma's disciplinary issues beyond Elfsborg and eventually got some detail out of Chat GPT
The immediate incident was not some spectacular misdemeanour. It was essentially a question of punctuality and failing to comply with team arrangements — but apparently it was the culmination of a pattern.Lech players were due back from their Christmas/New Year break on 6 January 2026. Ouma did not turn up. The club initially said that he, along with two other players, would arrive on 7 January, but according to Polish reporting he did not actually return to Poznań until Friday 9 January. He then trained individually in the gym rather than with the first team.
More significantly, Polish reports say that he had already been repeatedly late and that this was not his first problem with returning from international duty.
The Lech spokesman put it rather more strongly than the coach did:
Ouma's behaviour the previous week had been “unfair towards his teammates” and he had failed to do what he was supposed to do.
Coach Niels Frederiksen's public explanation was:
“Timothy behaved in a way that was not in line with the rules within the team.”
The punishment was therefore quite deliberate: he was excluded from the Abu Dhabi training camp and ordered to train with the reserves, with Frederiksen saying that his future with the first team depended on his attitude.
There was an earlier episode, too
This makes the January incident more significant.
After Kenya's November internationals, Ouma was late returning to Lech again. He missed the league match against Radomiak because he had not returned from international duty. At the time, Lech said the situation was under control and that his absence had been agreed. But Polish reporting subsequently made clear that his delayed return had already irritated the club.
There was actually a rather extraordinary description in the Polish press at the time: “The Lech player has disappeared”. He was still in Kenya several days after the international break and Lech were trying to establish when he would return.
So I would now characterise the disciplinary problem as:
not one major offence, but a developing pattern of poor punctuality/commitment to team arrangements.
That is quite different from, say, an allegation of misconduct away from football, and I haven't found credible evidence of anything of that sort.
Right. I'm sure Charlton know all this and more. On that basis I'd say max loan with option to buy. He's contracted to Slavia til 2029. Partizan probably expected Slavia to pay a bigger share of his wages while on loan. They are totally potless.

Great news TC is staying then6

If there was a serious move for TC on the table I don’t think he would have been involved yesterday. Plus it’s Preston ffs !! Surely a player looking to develop his career doesn’t move from us to Preston !!!12
-
Just find this Preston stuff a bit odd, they’ve not a squad that could play a friendly, sold their best player and a takeover that never seems to get done. Yet they’ve magically got £5m to spend, OK, sounds like convenient spin from the club to placate fans

Preston is a 100% a sideways move but you can’t blame him if he does want to go there purely for the abuse he received last seasonAndyG said:If there was a serious move for TC on the table I don’t think he would have been involved yesterday. They played their cuptie at Goodison Park yesterday as their ground wasn't in a fit state. Makes a lot of sense if he was the player from abroad due to fly in last Monday who didn’t?PragueAddick said:I really wanted to know about Ouma's disciplinary issues beyond Elfsborg and eventually got some detail out of Chat GPT

Not really, that type of research is surely done long before you make an offer, never mind arrange for a player to fly in?Weegie Addick said:

This is what I mean, the club seems, to put it mildly, a clusterfuck of ESI proportions, and we knew the bullshit they pumped outiaitch said:

Would be a blow to lose TC at this stage so surely it would take a hell of an offer for it to be worth it to us. A replacement of equal or better quality would not be cheap or easy to find. Hopefully he can be persuaded to sign a new deal as he would probably be worth quite a bit of money at the end of this season if he carries on as he did yesterday3
