Nothing interesting instagram wise other than the fact Timothy Ouma has a dm reply bot and that holsgrove is still a very horny man

A signing is close according to Cawley podcast, won’t give anything away though.

I really wanted to know about Ouma's disciplinary issues beyond Elfsborg and eventually got some detail out of Chat GPT

The immediate incident was not some spectacular misdemeanour. It was essentially a question of punctuality and failing to comply with team arrangements — but apparently it was the culmination of a pattern.

Lech players were due back from their Christmas/New Year break on 6 January 2026. Ouma did not turn up. The club initially said that he, along with two other players, would arrive on 7 January, but according to Polish reporting he did not actually return to Poznań until Friday 9 January. He then trained individually in the gym rather than with the first team.

More significantly, Polish reports say that he had already been repeatedly late and that this was not his first problem with returning from international duty.

The Lech spokesman put it rather more strongly than the coach did:

Ouma's behaviour the previous week had been “unfair towards his teammates” and he had failed to do what he was supposed to do.

Coach Niels Frederiksen's public explanation was:

“Timothy behaved in a way that was not in line with the rules within the team.”

The punishment was therefore quite deliberate: he was excluded from the Abu Dhabi training camp and ordered to train with the reserves, with Frederiksen saying that his future with the first team depended on his attitude.

There was an earlier episode, too

This makes the January incident more significant.

After Kenya's November internationals, Ouma was late returning to Lech again. He missed the league match against Radomiak because he had not returned from international duty. At the time, Lech said the situation was under control and that his absence had been agreed. But Polish reporting subsequently made clear that his delayed return had already irritated the club.

There was actually a rather extraordinary description in the Polish press at the time: “The Lech player has disappeared”. He was still in Kenya several days after the international break and Lech were trying to establish when he would return.

So I would now characterise the disciplinary problem as:

not one major offence, but a developing pattern of poor punctuality/commitment to team arrangements.

That is quite different from, say, an allegation of misconduct away from football, and I haven't found credible evidence of anything of that sort.

Right. I'm sure Charlton know all this and more. On that basis I'd say max loan with option to buy. He's contracted to Slavia til 2029. Partizan probably expected Slavia to pay a bigger share of his wages while on loan. They are totally potless.

Makes a lot of sense if he was the player from abroad due to fly in last Monday who didn’t?
Not really, that type of research is surely done long before you make an offer, never mind arrange for a player to fly in?
    Whoosh!

I guess that he earns his crust from the written word, if so you would expect a quick check that your message make sense and the spelling was correckt crumpet.

The thing around TC is that we are clearly aiming to play wingers on the ‘wrong side’ cutting in as this is where they thrive.

We are overloaded in this sense - with three right footers aiming to do this. Grant, Alli and TC. And only one left footer who is going anyway in Apter.

If we had the chance to get say £4m in.

Which was then invested into a left footed winger to play on the right….. plus top up for another CM…….

I think that would actually make sense.

The word IF doing a lot of heavy lifting in this post though

It does appear that we know exactly who we want to bring in and I somehow think that it’s not dependent on getting a fee for Campbell. If anything I suspect that any fee we do get in now might go towards either another signing this window or towards reinforcements in January.

I wouldn't be surprised or upset but is that what you have heard?

Apter playing in his natural position could show a different side to him. I hope he’s not another Charlie Kirk

Complete guess but if it’s Ouma then I suspect the medical needs to take place. Hopefully if it’s him of course, we’ll hear something perhaps Tuesday 🤞

Presumably Ouma would need to get international and league clearance - which may have been the hold up?

Jones had to run off after the game did the exact same at Wimbledon day later we signed Alli. If it’s not today surely a deal is first thing next week

If Ouma comes in I would guess JRC may be sent out on loan.

go with Chalobah, Ouma, Doc, Coventry for those 2 spots with Mwamba as the youngster
Doc will be the one to go IMO

Can see this happening, been rumours of clubs interested in him for a few weeks hasnt there. No smoke without fire as they say.

If Doc went despite Ouma coming in wouldn't we still be leaving ourselves short? You'd probably still be wanting someone else given Chalobahs injury record and JRC not really being fancied.

I’d rather JRC was the one to leave but agree it is more likely to be Doc….simply because he is more likely to find another club that wants him.

If we’re getting Ouma or another then I can see why people might think Doc could be off but personally I think Jones would prefer to keep him. Doc’s been instrumental in the successful period under Jones and unless Doc prefers to go elsewhere to ensure game time I think he could very well stay.

Agreed but if in the unlikely event we got both Ouma and Holsgrove then I could see Docherty leaving as he would be easiest to move on. Another ruthless decision if so.
