It’s probably that and then maybe a certain number of appearances that if he makes would trigger the dealmart77 said:

Love a cliffhanger!0 -
My mate works as a football journo in Portugal, he said that he’s heard one of the Sheff clubs are in the running for Holsgrove, makes sense that it would be Utd as they just sold Gus Hamer to Cov.7

Wage bill higher.6

Scoham said:If he does well doesn’t that just mean a Championship club with a far bigger budget comes in and offers £5-10m and a huge wage?I’m not convinced any options will protect us from that if the player wants the move and the selling club can get a much bigger fee.
This is my worry as well if he comes in and does well3 -
Would still expect even with an increase in wages there's still some money in the kitty for the right player.
It's just the outs needed to make it happen that worry me a bit now.1 -
If TC does leave for Preston, I’d expect it to be late in the window. That gives us time to sign another winger, and also get Alli and Apter fully fit. If we lost TC this week I’d be quite concerned about our options for Saturday
We also play Preston later this month, surely we don’t let them have TC until after that. And if we start the season well and they don’t maybe TC will re-assess who he’d rather commit too3 -
Why would TC want to leave now when Nathan seems to be bringing in quality players that judging by the game last Saturday is going to make his season very enjoyable and make his prospects all the much better ?NabySarr said:If TC does leave for Preston, I’d expect it to be late in the window. If TC to Preston does happen, can’t be dealing with losing to them with him and small on the wings. MUST WIN!0

Grant would be the starting lw if TC were to leave.NabySarr said:If TC does leave for Preston, I’d expect it to be late in the window. That gives us time to sign another winger, and also get Alli and Apter fully fit. If we lost TC this week I’d be quite concerned about our options for Saturday

i don’t think we would be signing a winger to replace tc rather one to play on the right0 -

TC frustrates the hell out of me, however I would rather he stayed with us and improved with the potentially better players we bring in, obviously it’s money, but I just can’t see what would attract him to Preston knowing his character and the geographical aspect, if it was to another London club, West Ham for example I’d understand it more,it doesn’t add up to me.0

Giving TC some time off will help as well this year. Last season he was our only attacking outlet we’ve now got Alli and Grant as well as Apter and who ever else will come i n on the wing. It should allow tc to have some games on the bench and some rest5

To bury this for sure, I can confirm that is not a player and one of my friends who is a Charlton fanFAVADDICK said:

Obviously Knibbs or whoever2

Yes but until we sign that player, TC will be starting. Hence why I said we shouldn’t even be considering selling him now, with no new winger signed and Alli/Apter both not fully fit yetAberystwythAddick said:

So TC and Grant will start on the wings on Saturday, so a new signing would be replacing TC in the team.Plus, it’s only 1 game but if TC carries on like he did on Saturday against championship opposition then he will be starting and Grant will be either on the bench or playing up front0 -
I was saying the exact same thing, he’s one of the most frustrating players I’ve ever seen in a Charlton shirt.Sword65pf said:TC frustrates the hell out of me, however I would rather he stayed with us and improved with the potentially better players we bring in, obviously it’s money, but I just can’t see what would attract him to Preston knowing his character and the geographical aspect, if it was to another London club, West Ham for example I’d understand it more,it doesn’t add up to me.Bags of potential, can get you off your seat and can also sometimes strike a ball (as we saw vs Cheltenham the other day), but equally cannot cross a ball to save his life, more often than not can’t finish and can also often go missing and look disinterested. With that said within the last few weeks he actually looks really happy within the group, or maybe that’s just because he knows he’ll likely be on quite a bit more dough if he goes to Preston?1 -
Can your friend play RW or in goal?Braziliance said:

I agree, but the best thing for TC to do is probably not commit to signing for us now and see how the season goes. But the club might say to him he either needs to sign a new contract or they will sell him. It’s a difficult situationletthegoodtimesroll said:

Nope.AberystwythAddick said:Is it that New Zealander that was mentioned?0 -
Would be a shame if we lose him as he'd be playing in a favored position this year but we need him to sign the contract. We also need to meet the squad numbers required, so it's tricky.AberystwythAddick said:Giving TC some time off will help as well this year.
