I'm more than happy for him to go I'm just slightly concerned that with the club's track record on keepers we will have left it very late in the window. Beadle has gone on loan, Tickle has moved already, Wickens has signed a new deal. If we've got something ready to go as soon as Kaminski is out the door then great but it really wouldn't surprise me that much to see us make a mess of it and go into October with Mannion in there. You can only sell players when there's a market for them but I'd be fascinated to see what a shortlist of realistic replacements looks like at this stage of the windowNabySarr said:

I just think we need to look at it a bit more ruthlessly and compare the actual players and their roles. Maybe I’m too old school in that I just wouldn’t really want a player that doesn’t really want to be here, PARTICULARLY one that has come through the academy and has been here his whole career and knows no differently. They’re essentially both at opposite ends of their career, I’d assume any move that Lloyd Jones made would have to be a well thought out one as it could be his last if he’s looking upwards ambition wise at least IF he doesn’t see that with us. TC is still the unfinished article. Plenty of potential there which I do see, however I do also see many holes in his game that to me don’t make him irreplaceable. I do agree that there are probably other sides out there that “could” get the best out of him, and allow him to add those things to his game, but realistically is he going to be able to do that here? TC on the other hand although sometimes a threat, has not come close to putting up the kinds of numbers to justify it and his end product at times is painful.We’ve signed Grant now who in my opinion is a far better player to have on the left side, if we were able to cash in on TC and get around the rumoured £2-£3m then I think that’s a great deal for us, especially if he thinks he can do better than us and we’d hopefully be able to put that towards a JRS type player who imo is far better than TC.That said I’m not quite sure who he expects to come in for him with the kinds of numbers he’s put up for us, even in L1 wasn’t the greatest. Hopefully his mate Thierry Small can convince him to go and join him up in Preston.
See how silly that is but that is how double standards work; rate a player then it is OK for him to negotiate a new deal, don't rate a player and they are greedy and should be dropped.

Clubs will see what he offers outside of end product and think he is worth having, and then if they can unlock a few more goals and assists he’s a big sale waiting to happen. It’s obvious he will have lots of interest from clubs better than us unfortunately, hopefully we can convince him to do one more contract hereI along with many others just watch TC week in week out and just find the lack of end product, be it shooting or crossing, extremely frustrating. These championship seasons are getting tougher and tougher, it’s gonna be real difficult this year in particular and every goal and point will mean so much. There was SO many scenarios last season and the seasons before that where we’ve found ourselves in a promising position and TC has crossed it over absolutely everyone and out for a goal kick.
As I’ve said there’s undoubtedly a player in there but do we really have the time or resources to do that and persist with that currently given our current situation?I honestly think it would do us good to cash in if we can and he can move onto a club that has the time and resources to develop him into the player we know he probably should be.2 -

Both have yet to sign contracts offered to them, both are holding out for the best deal for themselves, either now or next summer.
We've offered them £x over y seasons and they want £x+ over z seasons.
Both are taking a risk and causing uncertainty.
But one is given a free pass while the other should be dropped as "he doesn't want to play for the club".
I suspect both will sign new deals with us, which I'd welcome, but there is a clear double standard from a few posters.

TC on the other hand although sometimes a threat, has not come close to putting up the kinds of numbers to justify it and his end product at times is painful.We’ve signed Grant now who in my opinion is a far better player to have on the left side, if we were able to cash in on TC and get around the rumoured £2-£3m then I think that’s a great deal for us, especially if he thinks he can do better than us and we’d hopefully be able to put that towards a JRS type player who imo is far better than TC.That said I’m not quite sure who he expects to come in for him with the kinds of numbers he’s put up for us, even in L1 wasn’t the greatest. Hopefully his mate Thierry Small can convince him to go and join him up in Preston.

Many probably said the same about Apter a year ago, but TC was the one who was a regular for a whole Championship season.

Wingers all look great in highlights but if they’re that good that will likely have better offers or have a big downside whether that’s fitness, attitude or something else.
We can probably improve on TC, but not as easily or by as much as we’d like to think.6 -
The thing with TC as well is we know he’ll do the running asked of him by the manager. Wherever he’s asked to play he puts in the effort regardless of his performance on the ball that day. Apter was an exciting signing for us and started well but he couldn’t be arsed to do the running and ended up not being able to get into a L1 team. Hopefully he fixes that this season but there’s no guarantees a ‘better’ winger will do the job for Jones the way we know TC can and if they don’t they won’t playScoham said:

Obviously completely dependant on our budget because who really knows what that is, but just off the top of my head I’d say that Rak Sakyi, Edozie, Cozier-Dubbery, Stan Mills, Reyes Cleary and Abdul Abdulmalik are all better than TC.Scoham said:
