Matchday passport

I noticed this about a matchday passport in the email that was sent out today. Is this something new ?

Hardly important news if it's hidden away in a bulletin about the 30min presence of the current SLO prior to the match/es !

Curiouser & curiouser at CAFC !

    Oh, it's OK.

Just noticed that the SLO won't be coping with the thousands on her own.

She'll have "Collet" there to assist her  :D

Not for the 1st time, proof reading is your friend, guys .

Basically, you need your matchday passport to get into Valley Grove, Floyd Road, Ransom Walk and Lansdowne Mews.

It's a crowd control issue that the police insisted on.

They were sent out with your season ticket or matchticket.

If you haven't got yours you can download it from the CAFC website but you'll need your fan ID.

...which is little more than a bulletin IMO.

But, out of interest, how can supporters visit the "refreshed Family Stand"unless they have a ticket to sit there. Or am I missing something ?

Sorry, but there seems to be a lack of coherent input /thought put into information posted or emailed out that it gets to the point where recipients will glaze over & delete without reading.

Might be just me - a bit of a perfectionist- but I want my club to retain high standards in all departments IYKWIM & getting sloppy or careless isn't a good look .

Maybe this is one of the areas a CEO would address.

One of the most basic standards the club should adhere to is entrance and egress to the stadium.
As I have mentioned before, will a satisfactory entrance standard be reached on Saturday with regard to the Curbs stand turnstiles?
    Has Collette sorted them?

You need this to walk the local streets on a match day?

Surely if the Crowd control is needed your ticket is enough. This is ridiculous.

Away fans will be issued visas through their clubs, but a small consulate space is being set up inside the Valley Cafe for any that turn up without one.

I can’t remember this being sent with my ST. Just looked on the club website and I can’t find any mention of this anywhere. So does this mean I will possibly be denied access to the game.
Did anyone get this passport sent out to them?
  • Might have just heard Canada has invited Charlton to join 40 + other passport issuing countries to join their new ‘how do we trade with each to avoid Trump’s tariffs’ coalition. Nathan’s just checking the list of US and Argentinian players that Donald can counter-propose to him to see if there are any that can play on the right wing.

Surely it’s just a marketing ploy to get you to check out the fan zone area ?

I can’t see it’s really a police requirement as the roads are the natural route to go the ground with a ticket. We don’t see any issues with ticketless people on the vicinity.

I got the impression the Charlton Passport was more for the kids..
especially as it’s given out/stamped at Valley Central

There will be checkpoints with gun turrets at Charlton station, and snipers on the roof of Valiant Heights to pick off any usurpers

There might be the same kind of control as on the post referendum EU/UK land border.

The Valley is in the schengen zone but you will need a Visa to visit the Den.
