26/27 Injuries

Hopefully a quiet thread this season.

NJ on Kelman & Ramsay: “those are pretty much the only two, the others are pretty much in full training. Josh Edwards is back in and around stuff so he’s a lot closer.

It’s just those two that we’re not able to count on, the squad are all in a better place having had an extra week of training. Some had a game at Fulham on Tuesday so we’re in a better place.”

Rodwell on the live stream earlier described Kelman’s shoulder issue as a tweak requiring minor surgery and he’d be back with the squad in around 3 weeks.

Not ideal, but could be a lot worse. We do have cover up front in the lone striker role with Miles and Godden. And we have LB cover to ease Josh Edwards back in. Not ideal, and I'm hoping for a breakout season from Kelman, but shows the squad depth this time around.

Was great to hear Rodwell saying Mbick took a month off his recovery time and takes his football very seriously.

Beard said Kelman is back on the grass, which NJ didn't mention in his interview.

Personally, I've not heard of any shoulder surgery that is minor enough for somebody to be back within just 1-2 months. The treatment is usually focused on repairing the lining of the damaged shoulder (tendon, ligament and/or bone). Slow healing, and I hope KKelman returns when he feels confident enough in his body to play like he did against Hull.
