JRC - 7 Still like he’s running in treacle but always seems to pop up with a contribution. Great ball to set up the eventual final goal
MESIK - 7 Got done by CBT (didn’t everyone) last few mins but what a burst into the box near the end.

MANNION; 6 - Not as dominant in the air as usual, which is his calling card, and his kicking is poor--which we knew. Made the saves he should have made. Not a Championship #1.
BELL: 7 - First half wobble second half quite good. Will need to look to release the ball a bit faster with the way we want to play and with his new role, but still solid defensively.
KOUMETIO: 7.5 - Looks like a real find
JONES: 8 - Gets sucked out of position for the goal but scored a lovely goal.
McNAMARA: 7.5 - Good debut, strong in the tackle, took his volley brilliantly and it was blocked near the line. Good start for him.
CHALOBAH: 7.5 - Said it on the post match thread but he might be the best 1-2 touch player since Alou Diarra
COVENTRY; 8 - Ran tings. Showed his mobility. Broke up play. Had a couple of lovely passes into space. Looks so much better in a double pivot than he did as the sole holding player. I love him, and I've always said he had another gear or two in his locker. Only been two games this season, but I think we've really seen it.
GRANT: 7.5 - Dangerous
CAREY: 6.5 - Did his doggies and pressed but was too heads down on the ball
CAMPBELL: 8 - MOTM. Not just for the goal, which was wonderfully taken. Not just for winning the free kick that led to the opener. Not just for the fact that he consistently had his man on toast. But for the fact that he challenges for the header in the build up to the first goal that leads to a lovely touch from Chalobah and the ball from Grant into Jones for the goal. I said it last weekend, I'll say it again, if you don't get him by now, you probably never will. Sign the contract, TC!
GODDEN: 6.5 - Doggies. When we got it into anything other than his head he looked decent as per usual. But didn't really get the service. We know he only needs one chance and that chance just didn't come today. It will later.
Referee: 6 - We probably deserved a pen for one of the two shouts
ALLI : 6.5 - Did his doggies well but then gave the ball away in a dangerous area for a Derby chance. But was impressed that he was brought on to handle CBT.
LEABURN: 7.5 - The ball went forward and it stuck. For me, today is the start of a new dawn for Miles. He's mobile for his size. He's got a decent touch. He loves a stepover. All of the raw elements are there, it's just about putting it together. Today, he helped change the game.
J.R-C: 7 - Played some good passes and pressed well. I like him as a 10, even if I'd like to see him play a little deeper as an 8, I'm not sure he has the legs for it. But we saw it in his cameos last year that he can unlock a defense and he helped do that again today for the winner. Plus, he can score the odd goal. If it comes down to him or Doc, I think he wins, not just based on today, but based on his ability and versatility.
