Queues, crap service and invariably crap product be it food or drink.
Has been the case for years and the Club are not and will not be bothered because people still spend money there despite the problems.

The Valley Cafe charges about a quarter of the prices for the burgers above (literally about a quarter, maybe smaller in size, or less nutrition but not many seem interested in nutritional content on here anyway!). I tried to get their menu online but could not find a recent one. I will take a picture at the next opportunity. Valley Cafe veggie burgers are rather nice too.3

Had the venison burger in the fan zone, was Ok, but not value for money at those prices. Also bought 3 bottled soft drinks inside the stadium just before half time, came to over a tenner. Will be eating and drinking outside the ground from now on.1

Obviously going to be very different to ours!. 2 have been premier league standard for years and one has recently been in league 1. The absolute japes that the 22 overpaid prima-donna athletes get an unnecessary extra hydration break to the deficit of the 20,000 paying audience yet that same audience gets to queue for 20-minutes at half time in sweltering concourse heat to pay over-the-odds for bottled water to be told it’s run out…

Catering is miles behind other clubs in the country and light years away from US venues. There is so much more that we can do.Honestly it’s easier to get a decent bite to eat at Woking round the the corner from me.
Back to US Sports - the LA Dodgers stadium was something else. But so well organised…. It’s all self serve. Bearing in mind there is 50k there there were about 200 hot dogs already cooked…. Pizzas in boxes….. you just pick it up like a buffet grab your drink and pay. You’re out of there in seconds2 -

Download the Popeyes app, grab some of their amazing chicken from the retail park before the game, and you'll save yourself a bit of money and not have to queue for 20 mins.
Failing that, the kebab wrap in Charlton Kebab is usually decent, you can't beat a bit of Morley's further up the road, or grab yourself a Sainsbury's meal deal a la Seth

Bottles are half a pint. Its not how quickly the beers are poured. Its the staff,they haven't got a clue. They have one speed...SLOW. Things will never change unless you get staff who work there regularly and know what they are doing. Well at least you were in the north lower so no doubt one of the regulars who sit there, scoped up your half eaten burger from the bin and enjoyed it with a lukewarm can of carling they smuggled in.Whitehawk1 said:North lower. No onions or garnish of any sort. When I asked where the tomato sauce was the young woman pulled a face and said I don’t know, she asked two colleagues who also shrugged. I ate half of it and put it in the bin.Went to get water at half time but they had run out. Total shit show .

If only someone had the forethought to test the payments internet connection not when it was empty but when the local bandwidth was saturated with around 20,000 fans it might have worked. Rather than at least 50% of payments being unable to go through. Obviously, people would retry two or three times before giving up making it just as or even slower than the usual service.Total clownshoes.

Sounds like very poor service and expensive at that.
I do not go to football matches and expect high class Cuisine. But fast, decent food and beverages, and cut out the nonsense that you cannot buy chips on their own!.
Hopefully, the fans groups, and the Supporters trust, can have an input in advising the club.
Prices need to be realistic, especially for families in these times.
The club need to realise that decent food, is part of the 'footballing experience' albeit it is brought in for the match days, and the staff are subcontractors, I assume.
Of course going to football is not cheap , but you would expect value for money, and there seems little evidence of that experienced yesterday.3 -

Whilst everyone wants good food…I think street food, and football food has gone too far one way in trying to be something it’s not and actually something no one really wants AKA cheap food, that tastes good and doesn’t take an ages to get.
I still wouldn't pay those prices for a burger and have to pay a further £5 for chips.1 -

Not last time I went. Its a slick operation totally geared up to make the max amount of money in the shortest period of time. Huge queues but loads of staff just banging pints out. The complete polar opposite of the shit show at the new Fast Bar in the covered end! Fast Bar hahaha!Bedsaddick said:
