It is obvious that football will have to have a massive reset at some point. The money needed to operate is just not sustainable. Alot of clubs will fall by the wayside I'm sure, hopefully ours wont be one of themNorth Lower Neil said:

The thing is, people have been thinking/saying this for many years now (including me) - decades in fact - and it just seems to carry on. No idea how really, or why new buyers keep turning up, when only a very few number of clubs ever make any money.AndyG said:

I think it shows that the value of currency is inherent in its distribution and flow to complement its intrinsic value. It's the same reason that national debt can be built up with no significant implications for daily life, which can go on provided currency still circulates. Life and football clubs carry on regardless.1

A hearing in the petition took place on Wednesday at the specialist Insolvency and Companies Court (ICC) in London, which lasted around 10 seconds.
Angus Groom, representing United World, asked for the “usual compulsory order” in the proceedings, which would wind up COH Sports.
Judge Paul Greenwood granted the order.

I’ve been saying as much for years. The money in football is insane. The Premier League has sucked so much money out of the game and by doing so has virtually killed off The Championship, League One and Two as viable business models. There needs to be a reset but it’s not impacting the Premier League as much as further down the pyramid.Sooner or later a “big” club is going to go pop and it’s tragic. As good as The Prem is to watch, it’s a bloated parasite on English football.AndyG said:

Thanks for the clarification. Agree the club will appeal if for no other reason than to buy time. They obviously can’t pay so unless someone comes in and buys them out pdq I’d guess any point deduction would hit late in the season.Henry Irving said:
