    I stood, but more importantly so did my late father, Kevin Fox, who narrowly missed out to council leader Quentin Marsh in the Sherard Ward.
    Airman kindly mentioned this in his excellent article (page 24) of Saturday's programme.

    Kevin was your Dad? He was such a great candidate. Funny, I was talking about Count Binface with my wife, and how he had the same tactic as us, didn’t want to actually win, just to make a point. But your Dad believed he could win, we just didnt realise how well he was doing, well not until I went canvassing in Sherard on election day, banged nervously on doors, and people were saying, “Yeah don’t worry mate, we’re voting for you guys”. If we had flooded Sherard a few days earlier, Kevin would have won. I still day-dream of the media headlines if that had happened.
