    Apparently, the road was the responsibility of the MOD but transferred over to the hospital trust at the time as the hospital ceased to be a military hospital.

    It's almost all going to have the same number of lanes as it did before. 1 bus lane and 1 car lane in each direction. I think there is one bit where there is the high wall from the ferry roundabout where a bus needs to come over to share the car lane. You'll still be angry about it regardless though.
    Really? Doesn’t look wide enough for that along past Ransom Walk. Guess we’ll find out by next spring. It astonishes me quite how long it takes to put in a few new kerbs and road markings. 
    yes it is taking ages which is a bit shit. But it's two vehicle lanes in each direction apart from the bit I mentioned above.

    Importantly for Sam... at no point will a bus stop block a car.  But this thread is about a pub so lets not take it away from its topic!

    Correct. Baker Road / Stadium Road is currently the responsibility of Lewisham & Greenwich NHS Trust. They are waiting to hand it over to the LB of Greenwich. About a year ago  there was a planning application to put through a cycle way which involved cutting down loads of mature trees. It was so badly designed / not thought through that Greenwich Cyclists along with other groups opposed it.

    I objected to it on a personal basis (I'm an active Cyclist) and suggested all they needed to do was fix the road surface and repair the speed bumps. It was never clear to me who exactly put the proposal forward but I had the distinct impression it was a ploy by LB of Greenwich to get the NHS trust to cough up lots of money just prior to handing the road over to LB of Greenwich.

    So if it is a private road, why not charge TfL to put their buses on it
