I don’t think it’s on CharltonTV tomorrow. Well at least it’s not showing on match pass in Thailand.

Officially only outside of the UK.  Yes you can buy games on a one-off basis - the club normally put up a link.

Read this as it might help...https://forum.charltonlife.com/discussion/79634/vpns-which-ones-are-good-how-they-work-etc?utm_source=community-search&utm_medium=organic-search&utm_term=VPN

  • The annual LIVE pass seems to have vanished????  Monthly is still there.  Don't tell me they pull it after the first game, where's the sense in that?

Still there for me, it’s divided in to two categories, monthly and annual options.

It's on Paramount + in the US so I don't think it will actually be on Charlton TV, but I might be wrong.
  • Just gone back and it's reappeared now.  I did send an email to streamamg a couple of hours ago about it.  Maybe someone c**ked up when they put the west ham pass up and dropped it from the page accidentally 🤷

They are all on Charlton TV LIVE if you "live" (cough) in the right country.

Right, sorry, my post wasn't clear. I meant if you were to take a short trip to the States, it might not be on there given it's on Paramount+. But yeah, that won't be the case for other countries.

@SDAddick is right. Cos it’s on TV in the US CharltonTV can’t stream it there (or using a US VPN.
However I just purchased successfully “from” Belgium once I got past the “I am not a robot” bollox

Not all our matches are on Charlton TV. Any match on Sky is not on Charlton TV. So if it’s on Sky + it’s not available anywhere for most overseas fans.

I'm not sure that is correct. Last week's match was on Charlton TV and Sky +. If a match is being shown in a country you are in or your VPN is in then the match will not be available. Even if it is not shown. I think it won't be shown if the rights are for it to be. However Belgium and maybe Italy are safe bets to get the match as they don't have the rights.

You really can't  help but laugh!

First Charlton TV is sponsored by Nord VPN.

Then the club helpfully advise the countries you can set your VPN to in order to watch the game!

Hopefully the club should make a few bob from coverage this afternoon.

Purely coincidental, they're merely giving a full list of unsold commercial rights countries to our overseas friends to ensure they know if they can watch it or not, especially our large contingent of expats in Wallis & Futuna and the Northern Mariana Islands.

That list the club have put up is supplied to them by the EFL, and as usual, it is shambolicly wrong.

They claim that you can watch CTV across Scandi, but actually you cannot because Viaplay are showing the game, and it was only a couple of weeks ago the EFL put out a self-congratulatory PR piece about what a great deal they had just done with Viaplay. On the other hand, they do not list Germany but there sky Deutschland have a limited deal to show 60 games in the season and today according to ChatGPT at least the Charlton game is not one of them. I will certainly be testing that because I need to switch and the general rule is use a VPN country as geographically close to your actual country as possible.

The whole thing is a shambles. Every club surely knows that we are all just using our VPN is to get round this nonsense. but it was the clubs who signed off on this stupid deal in the first place
