And what a day out this could turn out to be with a sold out away end at The London Stadium, and a very intriguing and much anticipated match with a West Ham side, currently sitting 5 places below us in 10th after a 2-2 draw at Burnley last week.
TEAM NEWS…Charlie Kelman and Kayne Ramsay remain sidelined, while Josh Edwards has returned to training and could make a return. Timothy Ouma has been working towards full fitness after signing on loan from Slavia Prague, but has played next to no pre-season while taking part in the U21's earlier in the week, there could be a debut for latest arrival Arthur Okonkwo after signing on loan from Wrexham Thursday, The Hammers are set to be without midfield pair Tomás Souček and Keiber Lamadrid.
HEAD-TO-HEAD… We've gone toe-to-toe on 41 occasions, winning 14, the Hammers winning 17, and the remaining 10 encounters ending all square, we last met in the second round of the Carabao Cup in September 2020 with West Ham securing a 3-0 victory, our last victory over West Ham came at The Valley in the Premier League in February 2007, with Darren Ambrose, Jerome Thomas, and Darren Bent all getting on the scoresheet.

Team news …Arthur Okonkwo will make his Charlton debut this afternoon, Miles Leaburn also starts as Nathan Jones makes two enforced changes from the side that beat Derby County at The Valley last weekend…Will Mannion and Matty Godden are the injured duo who miss out.Danny McNamara, captain Lloyd Jones, Billy Koumetio and Amari’i Bell start in a back four in front of Okonkwo…Conor Coventry and Nathaniel Chalobah are likely to hold in midfield with Tyreece Campbell, Sonny Carey and Karlan Grant playing behind Leaburn.
Micah Mbick is named on the bench for the first time and is joined by Tiernan Brooks, Ivan Mesík, Collins Sichenje, Joe Rankin-Costello, Alan Mwamba, Harvey Knibbs, Millenic Alli and Rob Apter.

Fascinated that we've stuck with four at the back. I kind of thought that we might revert to the 352 in tougher away games but there must be a sense that West Ham can be got at today which is exciting. Nice to think we're at least going to try and make them miserable the fun way before going back to defending later in the season no doubt1
