My internet is too slow to “take a flight” anywhere. Tried in the past and it’s so slow I can barely stream the match. Only get around 40mb at the best of times.Actually I’ll try again with a paid err flight provider and some fiddling of the settings. Fingers crossed!0

I’m pissed off now to find that I can’t watch this here in France, and yet it’s not broadcast on Sky+, is it?

40 should be enough for several streams at once. If it's poor latency though that could cause a few issues.1 -

I checked a website I use to see if upcoming games are shown in Thailand, and under France they say the game is being shown on three channels; beIN Sports Max 4, beIN Sports Connect, and My Canal.jimmymelrose said:I’m pissed off now to find that I can’t watch this here in France, and yet it’s not broadcast on Sky+, is it?

Got a server in Moldova for €4 a month and never had a problem watching Charlton TV. I've run Tailscale on it and job's a goodun. Also if you have a spare computer knocking about in the UK at a residential address you can run Tailscale on that and it'll work as a free unblockable VPN for Sky, BBC, etc for when you're abroad1
-
Dont understand half of what you just said but its costing my work a fortune to stream sports, tv and films when i am abroad and the accomodation wont accomodate using nordvpn on a firestick and local wifi for Now, Prime, Netflix0
-
How long have you been waiting to get that one in? 😁CAFCTrev said:

Can any massive nerds in the thread opine as to whether it’s cheaper to buy a vpn subscription or spin up an aws instance in Spain and tunnel through that?
@ladywell_addick £4 a month is probably about the same as a subscription I guess but I’m thinking I can just shut down an aws instance when I’m not watching the Addicks!0 -
The commercial VPN will almost certainly involve far less pissing about, and 4 quid a month is nothing really is it?1
-
It’s not but the less businesses that have my name address and credit card details the better, and Bezos already has mine! That kind of pissing about is kind of my day job too so I don’t expect it to be too hard.

A good commercial VPN isn't just useful for the footie or (in my case) watching BBC or ITV/C4 abroad. It's well worth using when travelling - a lot of the public wifis are completely unprotected. Most subs cover you for enough different devices (in my case four) too.1
-
I have a VPN on my home network so that use case is already covered.

I can't go to the game tomorrow due to a hospital appointment. I purchased the pass and it showed success on the website. Normally it would then show I own the package but it isn't. I have contacted support but as yet no response. Has anybody else bought the package with the same issue?0

If I go to "Hi There" -> "View Account" -> "Manage Subscription" I can see my CharltonTV Annual Pass.
If yours isn't showing I'd wait for a response of try and get someone on the blower. Good luck.0 -
I got a response and they have confirmed the game is active so no worries. Thanks.2

Had a look on the site and tried to open the stream and it says subscription required. Ias anybody else getting this?0

I bought it again. I'll query the extra payment later

Charlton Athletic are delighted to welcome Surfshark as the club’s new Official VPN Partner for the 2026/27 season.
Surfshark’s award-winning VPN technology helps Charlton supporters stay private and secure online, whether browsing, streaming or working at home or on the move.
Its wider range of online privacy and security tools also helps users protect their personal data, reduce their exposure online and enjoy a safer digital experience.
The partnership will see Surfshark feature across the club’s digital channels throughout the season, with plenty planned over the coming months, including exclusive offers and exciting content for Addicks around the world.
Charlton Commercial Manager Ella Ellis said: "We’re delighted to welcome Surfshark to the Charlton family and to partner with a truly global brand that shares our ambition to connect with fans wherever they are in the world.
"From the outset, Surfshark have been passionate about creating meaningful ways to connect with our supporters. We’ve got some exciting plans together over the coming months, with plenty of opportunities for fans to get involved.
"We’re looking forward to bringing the partnership to life across our digital channels and finding new ways to engage our growing global fanbase with Surfshark."
To celebrate the new partnership, Surfshark is giving Charlton supporters an exclusive four additional months on top of their discounted Surfshark subscription.

I started using Surfshark years ago but then had problems with their connection. I changed to Express VPN and they have been problem free (not that I ever use it to stream live matches).
I’m sure Surfshark has improved since then.0 -
Charlton have presumably stopped with Nord VPN to go to Surfshark.
Is it free?

Ah can’t get back home to London tomorrow to go to The Valley, so instead have booked a Lear jet to fly off to watch Charlton TV, is Belgium the best country to fly to Or should I fly somewhere more exotic?Bloody hell watching on my mobile is a poor substitute to being at the Valley but don’t want to miss Addicks V Pompey, COYA’s.0
-
Belgium is the best to fly to as they dont have the rights to EFL games there so you should always be able to get the game.0
