We wondered if NJ would switch to five at the back for this game. He stuck to his evolution and we actually played football against a side worth a few hundred million. Not only that, but we looked dangerous on the break, which is something I have not said in 6+ years.
To think Nathan picked us up when we looked bound for League Two and here we are just a few seasons later, looking pretty comfortable against a side worth a few hundred million. I'm sure we will have some tough runs this season, but NJ deserves nothing less than 100% support.

Incredible away performance but Leaburn and TC in particular look like they're going to hit levels some people have always thought they would. Both were superb today.
McNamara looks a very shrewd signing and Okonkwo solid between the sticks.

Was umpiring a cricket match today, which I did after not being able to get tickets.
Got a message through on my watch from my partner saying LJ had scored an overhead kick.
I quite audibly laughed, thinking it was a wind-up, just as the bowler was passing me.
So he's stopped and and asked me what the issue was.
Had to apologise. Still didn't believe it till I saw the highlights.
Brilliant win; so pissed off I couldn't experience it. Think we're going to surprise a few more teams this season. Onwards and upwards.

They're going to have to bubble your visit because there's no way to police that place properly. Also think you'll be in for a shock to see just how diluted proper West Ham's support has become. It is a properly shit stadium not set up for football, but the lack of atmosphere is ridiculous. It's easy to make noise in there, they just don't.12 -

What a day! Firstly have to say, the ground wasn't as bad as I feared it would be. Yeah it was far from the pitch and almost impossible to hear the ref's whistle or tell who's who, but it was an excellent view from where I was. I think what really kills it is the lack of an atmosphere from the home fans! They just don't do anything. That being said though, had a few chats with West Ham fans to and from the ground today and genuinely enjoyed it, safe to say though.. it was quite an awakening to life in the Championship for them today.
The game itself though was fantastic, Lloyd Jones/Pele scoring early on really set the level of the game and I felt throughout that we had most of the best moments, if we made better decisions then we could have scored more than 2 to be honest. Did feel we were a bit weak on the right side but Danny Mac held them well and in fact we done what we do best really in just defended well, keeping the ball away from the box as much as possible.
Was really impressed with Arthur though, considering he's only been in the building for literally a few days I feel like we've got quite a keeper in him. Done everything right in the first half and was tested far more in the second.. don't think much can be done about the goal but some of his saves were exactly why we were impressed with him for Wrexham last year.
Shout out to TC who I think was stellar today, again. He's definitely worked on his finishing during the summer and 3 games in it's really showing, it looks like his contract is all but done too so think we're going to really enjoy a good season with him this year, especially with his partnership with Leaburn. Maybe JRS will come in and just add that extra bit to his game for him to really turn into something special
A great day out with great company, and really leads well for Wednesday night. UTA!11 -

West ham fans were truly awful. In the last decade, their fans have got lazy and used to the comfort of that stadium. They have no ‘singing’ section and are rudderless as a fan base. It was great to play them early in the season as I think they will improve but, I am sure that’s what Leicester said.One the of the best away days since the prem9

Oof! Have it! Same again please! Outstanding teamwork. Coventry added that touch of composure, and we need as much of that as possible without the majority of possession. Big Leaburn and Jones performance and TC is on fire. Loved Mac, Bell and others that added to the problem that West Ham couldn’t solve. Okonkwo had a good debut; I know he didn’t save the pen, but he looks intimidating filling as much of it as he does. Great day for the fans in the community stadium.

It was good to be back.
My missus got hospitality tickets, bang in the middle of the West Ham fans.
The dogs abuse they were giving the players and manager was disgusting, I can’t see Nuno lasting long if they keep this up.
Thought we thoroughly deserved the win, our lads were exceptional, the penalty miss at the end was just brilliant, just wish I could have screamed my head off, but I’d probably have got a good kicking from the West Ham ‘fans’
Roll Onto Spurs, can’t wait!

The initial bag check and pat down leading to the outside upstairs section outside the turnstiles, was unsegregated. Surely that won't be the case when Millwall are there, but I don't see how Bridge 4 and that area can be safely segregated?Croydon said:

The thing about Miles and TC is their attributes suggest they are going to be top players. It can sometimes be about small details, luck with injuries, confidence etc... but they have always had it in them. Campbell was the best player on the pitch today, closely followed by Miles. It was a shame their keeper made a good stop from TC's cross in the second half as it stopped a MIles tap in which would have been well deserved.5

Acting as a carer for my mate today. I managed not to do an Alf Garnett when we scored and the view from the West Ham disabled section was pretty good. I was already sitting on my hands, keeping stumm, when I heard the cheer for Lloyd Jones' goal from the away end. And how did the WH announcer think it was Karlan Grant.
All round odd announcements; I don't think I've been to an away game when they don't announce both team lineups.
One of the best all round team perfomances I've seen for ages; difficult to choose a MOM. Arthur a step up from our other keepers and if he continues like that Ill forgive him for some of the worst kicking since Dean Kiely!7 -
Fantastic result - an amazing day for everyone that went. NJ came in for some stick last season, myself included after that Millwall defeat, but what a job he’s done. He’s taken points off Ipswich, West Ham, Boro and Soton away in the last 2 seasons, clubs with recent Premier League pedigree. This one might top them all. I’m still hugely focused on getting to 55pts as we saw how long and hard last season was, this league only gets stronger with the obscene amount of money going around. But bloody hell, the win today, ridiculous given where we were when Jones took over.
Every point is vital so to get 6 points from the first two is superb.
