Long story short: I was at The Valley for the last game of last season against Hull. I absolutely loved the entire experience—walking around the neighbourhood, having a few pints at The Royal Oak, being in the stadium, etc.
I'm a San Lorenzo fan and we lost our ground back in 1979, which is how I came to know Charlton went through a similar situation. You guys are back at The Valley, but San Lorenzo still don't have our stadium in Boedo. I learned about Charlton's history through Will Dalton, a Charlton fan who wrote a book about Argentine football culture called Ohh San Lorenzo. Both clubs share a lot in common.
I've got footage of my visit to The Valley and I'm planning to post it on the YouTube channel.
P.S. I've only watched 3 full Charlton games (1 at The Valley and 2 on TV) and all of them were 2-1 wins. Hoping to keep the streak going!

Great story. It may well be another turbulent season but what a start, let’s hope Nathan keeps giving you lots of inspiration for videos!2

The data regarding final third entries sums the game up most clearly for me. 105 for them, across side to side but not penetrating, but our mere 20, much more direct. Also good to see McNamara and Billy K get credit in the data too. Relatively unsung heroes doing the required stuff very well.

We may have to go 'members only' soon, as these analyses are too revealing for our opponents- though i presume they have similar data available to them anyway(?)
