    calm, assured, completes passes, makes progressive passes.  Interceptions.

    I think that’ll be the case here, and the issue is L1 clubs don’t want to or don’t have to gamble (from their perspective) on inexperienced u21s from a club at our level.

    Whatever happens he needed a bigger challenge than u21 football and wasn’t going to get many first team minutes had he stayed with us.

    This is a fantastic point. League 1 clubs will probably in the main want the pick of the local PL clubs U18s/21s talent. Which leaves our best young talents either looking at League 2 or Scotland for loans.

    It’s fine though because unlike with Kanu we didn’t play Gough in our cup game so he’s free to move to league 1 in January if he keeps playing like this
