    I didn't know of him if I'm honest, however having just read several obituaries about him he was clearly a very fine player and a decent bloke too.

    A dark cloud over Wigan the last few days.  You can tell the impact he had on the area and the people. Can't get near the statue of him in the centre of town for the amount of people paying respects. Think they're on to the 3rd book of condolences already

    One of my friends is his nephew.  Totally gutted for him. To be honest we thought this would have happened last week. His wife only passed a few weeks ago 😢
