Can only hope it's not a bad one. Ramsay's looked like a season ender and it wasn't so bad in the end. Definitely looks like we've got ourselves a bit of an injury-prone player though which is concerning7

Looks like they play 30 games a season, just different level of intensity I'd imagine.fenaddick said:
Why? He's been playing in a televised league with official stats carriersSELR_addicks said:Imagine it's difficult to get a read on his injury history before us.
Well transfermarkt has him down for 0 injuries, which we know isn't true because he's been injured with us before as well.
You sure? We did sign Burke after all.1 -
After he’d had the knock a few minutes before.Diebythesword said:Our luck with injuries continues. The injury that he went off for in the end was off the ball and not involving anyone else, those tend to be the worst injuries.2 -

It was a joke calm down.1 -
Very obviously injury prone. Looks like a decent player, but clearly isn't going to work out.
I do think 'hardiness' is undervalued when assessing how good a player is. Carey and Coventry being prime examples.3 -
Looked bad judging by his reaction but to have 3 injuries since January would suggest he is made of glass unfortunately.5
-
I get that - though does feel like this one would have injured anyone.Croydon said:Looked bad judging by his reaction but to have 3 injuries since January would suggest he is made of glass unfortunately.
The knock he took to his knee in the initial challenge looked proper grim. Was actually shocked he continued on - must have been adrenaline.1 -
its been emotional...0

Initially was excited with sichenje and Ouma as well, but may well look like we’ve got one player made of glass and the other a dud. Hope I’m proved wrong!1

I think calling someone a dud for having an iffy moment in his first senior game for months against a PL side is harshDiebythesword said:Initially was excited with sichenje and Ouma as well, but may well look like we’ve got one player made of glass and the other a dud. Hope I’m proved wrong!26 -
Yeah you’re right, I’m just a bit miserable re the injuries and jones’ comments. And generally disappointed it looks like sichenje will be out for a long time.fenaddick said:

He went down not long before. Wast hitting the ground in pain. Assumed that was his night over and was astounded he carried on. Went down not long after and for good.
Losing him and Billy inside 10 mins was a bad start0 -
Josh Edwards tried to carry on last season too and look how that panned outcantersaddick said:He went down not long before. Wast hitting the ground in pain. Assumed that was his night over and was astounded he carried on. Went down not long after and for good.

I don’t want to knock a man when he’s down but he was never built for English football.0
-
Got to feel for the lad… signs a 3.5 year deal, and looks like he won’t be playing almost half way through that contract!0
-
Such a disappointing signing1

According to the American Association for Psychological Science, it takes humans between 0.1 and 7 seconds to form a complete first impression of a person. You've probably just read that and thought "What takes everyone so long?".Diebythesword said:Initially was excited with sichenje and Ouma as well, but may well look like we’ve got one player made of glass and the other a dud. Think I saw the physios conducting a Lachman test, which is never a good sign, as that is the test for an ACL injury (I tore my own some years ago now and take no pleasure in remembering how it's done).
Gutting stuff. I pray it isn't as bad as I fear.4 -
I feel for Collins.
I think he is certainly good enough.
Really hoping the injury isn't a bad one.2 -

In the cold financial light of day it's another player we're going to lose money on and not come close to recouping their value.
Need TC, Mwamba, or Leaburn to go for big money to balance out the fact we've chucked about 10 million away since we were promoted.2 -
Feel for him, he looked very upset. Ultimately though it’s a player who missed most of 2nd half of the season and will now be out for something like 6 months.2
-
If it is ACL, it could well be more than 6 months. Real shame as he looked promising.
Seems very harsh to say he 'isn't built for English football' just because he's got an unfortunate injury.4 -
I guess with that sort of injury they'd inevitably test - fingers crossed it ruled it out, but even just looking at the original challenge you'd have to suspect some kind of ligament damage.PaddyP17 said:Think I saw the physios conducting a Lachman test, which is never a good sign, as that is the test for an ACL injury (I tore my own some years ago now and take no pleasure in remembering how it's done).

I tore my MCL years ago through hyperextending in the same direction as that challenge, never fully recovered although my knee was pretty much at a right angle the wrong way! That would be weeks rather than months. I guess the good news is that players recover better and more quickly even for an ACL than they used to.
Losing him and Billy at the same time though is gutting. If either is out for any length of time I'd imagine we'd be looking for a loan in ASAP.
Their pitch is notorious for these sorts of injuries, apparently. Might give further explanation to the 10 changes.2 -
He missed 4 games in 2024/25 and 3 games in the first half of 2025/26 before we signed him. That’s 7 total games missed (not in the matchday squad) from a possible 57 as there are 37 games in a league season in Serbia, not 30 as previously stated on this thread.None of the games he missed were back to back, indicating no history of lengthy injury issues and could equally be attributed to suspension or other off field issues without proper sources to check.

As in my post above, they play 37 games in a season (one less than a Prem season) not 30.SELR_addicks said:

The stats say he played 25 times in the 2024/25 season out of a possible 37 games, but that includes 8 appearances on the bench where he didn’t come onto to get any minutes.Leaves four occasions in that season where he was left out altogether.0 -
Left the ground in a bloody wheelchair0

whoever said he's clearly not cut out for english football is daft. He had a muscle strain but we told him to play on and made it worse last season.
He got a knock last night, probably should have gone off but stayed on and then, on a pitch notorious for breaking players, got broken. I'd say he is unlucky more that rubbish.15 -
He's looked good in every appearance. I really feel for him and am also peeved with the welfare treatment of Collins.4
