7 out of 77 lifers got a return in week 2.

@North Lower Neil is the weekly winner with picks of a home win for Manchester City against Bournemouth (1.44), a home win for Millwall against Norwich City (2.2), and a home win for Southampton against Stoke City (1.67), netting £52.91.

@North Lower Neil now leads overall.

Collectively we'd have been down £458.87 this week with the real bookie. Across the season we're down £1182.13 overall.

The best possible treble was: a home win for Hull City against Manchester United (8.0), an away win for Charlton Athletic against West Ham United (8.0), and a Draw in Newcastle United vs Liverpool (3.8). A £10.00 treble on this returned £2432.00.

@GoOnYouHaddocks included a Man Utd win selection after the match had already kicked off (here). Normally, a bet submitted after a match has kicked off would result in the whole bet being lost. However, as the rules didn't specifically state this before now, I'm going to make an exception on this occasion and void the bet, returning the £10 stake. Please make sure you check the kick off times.

The Rules

  • Each week, a selection of games from the weekend's fixtures will be posted.
  • You will be given a virtual £10 to put on either a single, double or treble.
  • Simply post your bet from the available selections and we'll work out everyone's virtual winnings/losses over the season.
  • Bets must be posted before kick-off of the first match included in your bet. Once a match has kicked off, you cannot add, remove or change a selection involving that match. Failure to adhere to this will result in the bet being lost.
  • If you don't use your bet, you get -£10 for that week for competition purposes.
  • Anyone joining part way through the season will start on the same balance as the lowest in the competition.
  • Any bets affected by postponements will be settled using the remaining selections. If all selections are cancelled, you will get a £20 stake for the next round.
