Preston are gonna pay for what happened Wednesday, the left out players are gonna be up for this one big time... 4-0

I’d rather Kanu on the bench than Apter but appreciate that it won’t happen with us looking to move him on.

Id rather have an under 12 on the bench than Apter

I think your team is broadly right FA but I'd be playing OkonkwO in goal rather than this mysterious OkonkwU chap

I’m sure it won’t happen but I’d have Bradley Tagoe on the bench over Apter or Alli. I was really impressed with him the other day in the u21’s and he stood out more than many of the senior players on the field.

And how exactly would you tell the difference? U12 is taller and more athletic

(sorry Rob but you did look v tiny, lightweight and depressingly slow v spurs)

Preston have just signed Stanley Mills on a three year deal from Oxford.
Surely won’t be ready to play - if it’s anything like our signings he will need warming up in the U21s for a month

Been playing a CM at RW so they're desperate. I hope he doesn't play because I think TC up against Harry Clarke could be carnage, TC against Clarke and Mills could be tough

Mills played a half hour in Oxford’s win at the weekend.

Well - we have rage on our side - a near perfect start has been ripped apart with 3 CBs going down inside 24 hrs - Billy and Lloyd looked immense at West Ham - but we are well drilled and Jones is raging so we will come our firing-

A draw I will take but we all want a WIN.

Preston are all over the place at the moment - our chance is now.

So Danny Mac,  s'housed tatty bojangles when he missed the pen . He put Tel in the hoardings then nutted their goalscorer, finally refusing to swap shirts with some spurs player. He's growing on me.

He set the tone early on when he fell over and curled up clinging onto the ball it was quite pathetic.

Lumo trains are the “official travel partner” for PNE

Last Lumo train from London to Preston on a Saturday is 4:15pm.

    Just saying.

Got banana skin written all over it. Starting 11 is fine but there isn’t much on the bench to affect the game if needed.

    Charlton 2-0 Preston

    (Grant 14, Leaburn 26)

We've won both our games, they've lost both of theirs and have two former players.

Been following Charlton long enough to know how this goes.

    Charlton 0 - 2 Preston (Clarke, Small)

Are you saying Preston players will have to leave The Valley early, so we automatically win 3-0? Lovely stuff

Preston have the hex over us lately and with despair & despondency seeping from the stands onto the pitch there can be only 1 winner.

Preston take all 3 points back home on the  train.  1-2

I'm back from Vietnam and will be attending a game for the first time this season. I'm looking forward to this one but don't blame me if we lose.

Vietnam? I didn't know Valley Express went that far?! I thought we only wanted to poach fans from the Gillingham area?

4-1 Really think Preston are there for the taking and NJ did the right thing by resting nearly all the league starting 11. They will be refreshed and raring to go. Would like to see Leaburn and Grant score…
Jones and Campbell, too.  Why break up a good duo?

    1-1 or 2-1.
obviously lost the momentum and our centre half, so can see this being a draw, but hopefully we nick it at the end

All I'm gonna say is, last time Thierry Small faced Rob Apter, one of them was substituted after 36 minutes cos he kept getting absolutely traumatised
  • I don't think I'm the only one but can't work out why feel more flat than should do! Almost like been relegated!

Maybe needed more motivating and encouraging words from NJ after the Spuds game.

Have we lost momentum though, it was a totally different team including players unlikely to be with us from Tuesday?, surely we currently have momentum in the league?

The injuries play a big part in that and PNE are a bit of a bogey team....any kind of win would be good even a point isn't the end of the world.

Yes NJ really didn’t help, he usually tries to keep upbeat and take positives, but wasn’t much of that and do put people on edge a bit, he’d already had a bit of a shit day before the game it looks so what with the injuries, not the result, things probably came to a head and he blew a bit. He’s human after all.
