Small hasn't really pushed on like I thought he would. Maybe he went to the wrong club.

I think the club lost some momentum by capitulating at Spurs, but we're still in a better place than PNE. Not like me to be confident, so I won't be. We will edge past PNE (?unconvincingly?) to THE TOP OF THE TABLE. Damn I don't know where that came from.

    I think it’ll be a draw. 1-1

Would start Apter at home after the workrate and effort put in on Wednesday he deserves a start would leave Carey out and move Grant into the 10 role .. makes us more dangerous going forward at home

Charlton 2-1 Preston …. 3 out of 3 with a very tough game on Tuesday ….

    Next few fixtures
    Preston win
    WBA lose
    Stoke draw
    Pompey win

    Take that after 6 games

Same 11 as the West Ham game with Mesik or a possible new signing instead of Koumetio

    Both teams to score

Were you watching a different game to me on Wednesday?!

There may have been "workrate and effort" but there was an awful lot of being dumped on his arse because he wasn't strong enough in the challenge and a lack of quality.

We tend to struggle when expected to make the running and go on the front foot so expecting a frustrating afternoon.

Preston will sit deep and try to do to us what we specialise on doing to the mkre fancied sides.

Bit of pressure on Jones to get his team selection right for this one after Wednesday.

    Okonkwo
    McNamara Jones Bindon Bell
    Coventry Chalobah
    Grant Carey Campbell
    Leaburn

Brooks, Mesik, Rakin-Costello, Docherty, Mwamba, Knibbs, Alli, Apter, Mbick

Bench shows how many injured players we have and when you do it makes things incredibly difficult. Also shows we really need that right winger as Apter has shown nothing, he’s also so weak.

Was debating whether it would be Docherty or Ouma on the bench but with everything that’s happened this week, I think Docherty being in the squad helps keep everyone calmer. Likely to be the last time he’s included in the squad before he moves on.

Preston have now signed Caleb Wiley on loan from Chelsea
Interestingly a Left-Back / Left Wing-Back so that'll be competition for Small, unless he's coming back as our RW?

I've never understood putting a player in your starting 11 who doesn't belong to the club 😉😀.

Tyler Bindon, he’s heavily linked with signing for us.

If I’m putting Saka in our starting 11, that’s my business 😉

I wouldn’t be overly suprised to see apter play at some point.
i thought he put on a better performance than Ali on Wednesday. Ease him back into playing and who knows the confidence might return.

He's our only natural right winger

Hes out only natural right winger
    That's a low bar.

How high the bar is doesn’t matter. Yes neither were great but Apter did more to justify his place on the bench as an option than Ali did

All I'm gonna say is, last time Thierry Small faced Rob Apter, one of them was substituted after 36 minutes cos he kept getting absolutely traumatised

Do we think the Bindon deal is happening this quick? what makes you think that? have i missed something? I'd be surprised - reckon Mesik will come in - one of the few to come out of wednesday with a positive for me.

Put 3-2 to us on the prediction thread but everything tells me this could be a classic when you think we should win, we don't. We also don't have that much guaranteed firepower action atm with godden and kelman out, Mbick unproven at this level and Alli also unproven. We need that RW piece of the jigsaw to get our starting 11 up where we need it.
