We didn't play Gough in the cup because he'd already gone to Bristol Rovers and he played in the cup for them.NabySarr said:
It’s fine though because unlike with Kanu we didn’t play Gough in our cup game so he’s free to move to league 1 in January if he keeps playing like thisCrispywood said:Hope this doesn’t turn out like Kanu where it was blatantly obvious we loaned them to a league well below their ability
Comments from Steve Evans at the weekend about him:
"he's a young man who will play a lot of Championship football going forward - that's for sure. I think he's not only got the abilities, he's got the discipline, he's got the technique, he's got the attitude. He's got everything going for him."
"I'm sure when he goes back next summer, he'll go back to the Charlton first-team for sure. He's a Championship player."

Not in their squad today, have we recalled? Can we even recall before January?1

Whatever the rule is, I doubt we could pay Rovers to cut it short.0

Be a shame for all parties if Keenan has been recalled... Be understandable, but has seemed an ideal move for him so farEdit: Rovers fans think he's injured.1

With Billy not being bad, and us in the market for a CB I can’t see that we would be recalling Gough.

Thats why I choose my words carefully and said CB. We know from Jones directly that we are in the market for one.Leuth said:

So if it’s not Bindon I’m confident another will happen.

Plus not fully match sharp, virtually zero pre season, new to the country, new to the league, new to playing with his teammates AND playing away at a Premier League club full of multi million pound talent...all on his debut.Leuth said:
But other than that, yeah we can write him off....10 -
Is that a bad thing for a first league loan, though? Means they're guaranteed starters and get plenty experience of playing senior football. That's probably more beneficial for their development than going to League One and potentially being in and out of the team.Crispywood said:Hope this doesn’t turn out like Kanu where it was blatantly obvious we loaned them to a league well below their ability3 -
If you read my post, it suggests it’s Jones’ judgement , not mine. I have no desire to judge Ouma on one display .Leuth said:0 -

"At the same time, Gough has a tight hamstring, which the coaching staff are keeping a close eye on ahead of Saturday's game at The Broadfield Stadium."fenaddick said:2
