Hate to be a doom monger but on promotion by the time we’ve paid off the ex directors, paid RD his PL bonus, bought The Valley for £50M, paid the players their promotion bonus and paid the clubs the contract uplifts agreed, we probably won’t have much loose change - even from the broadcast riches.

Nothing wrong at all with good quality loans (Carson, Gallagher, Maatsen, Coady, Cullen, Bielik etc). They're only a problem when you end up with ones like Matt Smith and Harry Arter.

Based on what fans from Reading and Sheff Utd are saying, this one looks like it could be good for us.

And the "we prefer to develop our own players, not other club's players" comment only works if the players you bring in are actually good enough, and able to improve, and thus gain value. 

Losing all your loan players after a season (or worse in January) is of course disruptive, but
a) It can get you players better than what you could otherwise afford, e.g. Gallagher
b) If they flop, you aren't stuck with them on a 4 year contract

In a brief interview on YouTube, Bindon mentioned a friendship with Harry Lennon. Could someone kindly explain to me what that is all about?

He said Harvey Knibbs. They played together at Reading.

I think that's just the Transfermarkt valuation, which is essentially a guess based on a few factors like age and perceived potential, it's not actually what Forest value him at

I recall Peter Whiting in the 1960s.  Reserve goalkeeper who never made the First Team and conceded six goals on at least one occasion for the 'stiffs'.

Apparently Adrian Webster was another.  Joined as a trainee in 1996 and moved on to Faversham Town.

I think you have got a good one.  He started slowly with us, once bedded in he was probably POTY for 2nd half of the season.  Really nice footballer and I think you will see the best of him.  Plays the ball out really well, but is a good defender too, surprisingly tough.  I am disappointed we didn’t go back in for him tbh.

Fair point, but that's a quite different list.

Friendship is a relationship of mutual affection between people. It is a stronger form of interpersonal bond than an "acquaintance" or an "association".

It is something many Charlton fans struggle with, hence our focus on trains and onanism.

Some of you make me laugh, Nathan himself has said Bindon is out of our reach to buy, and yet that’s not good enough and you have to question the perfect source for our transfers 😅

I haven't seen enough of Tyler Bindon to know if he will be better than Billy 'Just one' Koumetio?

The most important thing is we appear to have another potential starter in the 11 or a game saver from the bench to be in the 16 players used.

At the business end of last season when we played with the 3 CB's, Ramsay, Lloyd and Bell were battered and bruised and had to play through pain or on occasions drop out in Bell's case.

So everyone is getting ahead of themselves before Bindon have even made his debut. Tyler's future will take care of itself but at long last under decent management we have building blocks to try to become an established Championship side.

Can we fans/critics live in the moment and  stare at the Championship table because in our heart of heart's know we will only be at the Summit for a short time in our 2nd season back.

I suspect Forest consider him not for sale currently. We’d have to make a silly money offer to have them consider offloading him permanently.

If Forest were to get relegated, (not beyond the realms of possibility) no way they'd sell to a rival anyway.
