How are Stoke able to spend so much?

Are they just banking on Sorba Thomas being sold?

It's because when the de-merged from Bet365 in 24/25, the debt owed was wiped. So from an accounting perspective they registered a £60m+ profit.

    Interesting deal

When Parky falls out with Players, eg Arthur or Dobbo then they quickly fall down the pecking order.
Big Arthur went from 1st to 3rd choice to a season loan with CAFC as 1st choice.(🤞🏻)

George had lost his place and then gave that free kick  away after a cameo sub appearance which led to Wrexham drawing and not winning and Parky was fuming.

Great signing for them. Might be the year they stop being mid table mediocrity

They're not especially dark. They could have easily had 7 against Derby. I would be a little terrified to play them right now, but only a little, cos we're massive obv

I thought they were in a false position most of last season. With the additions they’ve made they’ll be challenging

That might depend on whether they can keep Žan Vipotnik

Millwall have set a £15m asking price for winger Femi Azeez amid multiple offers from Brighton.
The south-coast club, whose interest was first reported by BBC Sport, have made two offers in recent weeks worth over £10m.
Azeez is understood to be keen on a move to the Amex Stadium.
However, Brighton remain short of Millwall's valuation. The south London club are prepared to let Azeez take the next step in his career if their demands are met.

Rob Apter for £5m would be the perfect replacement.

Be great if Millwall lose Femi Azeez at this stage of the window... Read that Lisbie missed an open goal on Saturday

So far Lisbie has proven to be a great addition but his decision making in the final third can let him down. That will come in time, the more championship football he plays. And it’s something that can be coached in to a player. It was something Femi had to work on when he arrived. Most of us are really happy with Lisbie so far. Bundles of talent and confidence to boot. It was a bad miss on Saturday but he’ll be over that already.

Wrexham have bid for Sheff Utd’s Callum O’Hare, Second Tier Podcast say it’s worth over £7m. He’s 28, feels like another example of Wrexham overpaying for an older player.

Stoke seem to spend an absolute fortune every summer and yet never seem to do very well.

Saw a stat that since being relegated from the prem they have finished in the bottom half every single season. Started very poorly this season as well.

Stoke must be on for £30m spent now with the 2 Americans? I just don't see how it's sustainable even if they sell Thomas.

Wilder massively doesn't like Parky and I don't think there's anything wrong at all with Wilders comments.

West Ham signed JWP from Southampton for £30 Million just three years ago.

Will likely be going back to Southampton tomorrow for £800,000.
Obviously we all know that transfer make no sense but £300m down to £800k in 3 years I would expect him to have had atleast one leg amputated for that drop !!!

On an unrelated note reading this morning that Chelsea have agreed terms with Villa for Martinez for £7.5m !! that seems cheap ????
Bargain of the season and the past few as well .. (NOT Championship of course)

A punt for the future I imagine, seeing that he's barely played in L1. He's similar to Daniel Kanu, someone who's just had a successful loan spell in L2, but with the advantage of being classed as an U21, and so not part of the 25 player limit.
