    Wendelken did well to battle through qualifying. I think they were all 3 setters.

    Shame he had to play the 13th seed so soon. Fearnley was a lucky loser from qualifying had a better draw

    APart from looking rushed, which I've not seen with Fery before, he didn't play badly but was outclassed by an on form Musetti, who has been ranked as high as 5

    Hopefully Fery's game and resilience will develop as he plays more of the top players

    Francesca Jones wins her opening round in three sets. Boulter loses her second round match in straight sets.

    Choinski loses his opening round in straight sets. Samuel and Fearnley both lost in the second round.

    No men remaining in the draw. Dart and Jones both in the second round in the women's.

    Cash and Glasspool in the last 16 of the doubles as are Patten, Salisbury and Skupski with their various foreign partners.

    US Open scheduling is so daft - starting the tie.of the round (Shelton v Alvarez) after 11pm so half the audience have probably switched it off and gone to sleep is illogical.

    Wimbledon curfew at 11pm makes a lot more sense.

    Also, I wouldn't like to be leaving the stadium at 4am or whatever in the middle of Queens.

    I've seen The Warriors, I don't want to be mugged by a group of mimes, or guys with bare chests and John Virgo waistcoats.

    Cash and Glasspool lost 7-6 (7-1) 7-6 (7-5) but Patten, Salisbury and Skupski all won to reach the last 8.

    I don’t know for sure but Fery has suffered a similar arm issue to Draper in the past so perhaps it was preventative.
