If we assume Doc is definitely off, Collins not registered, the only options I can think of is Apter/Knibbs (whichever) moving abroad to a league where the window is still open (maybe Scotland like mentioned for Doc).People might shout this one down straight away, but do the club pay up Burke and take the hit? Financially not great, and we’re short at CB, but with a year left, and his record, he’s not going to add anything- I’m wondering if it’s best to cut ways now3

Too early to tell how good/bad the window has been, time will tell, however fair play to the club it hasn’t been for the want of trying, looks to me like we had to go down our list of options, not even certain some would have even been on a list. But that’s it now our squad is set until January, let’s hope our good start continues.👍0

When they said we are looking to strengthen every position, they really took it literally, didn’t they…
Overall, it’s been a fantastic window. The fair points must be made that we missed out on at least 2 of our top, top targets for different reasons and they really could’ve given us that extra real quality I think we might just lack to really achieve something great this season. However, you cannot deny there is some really good players that have been signed and many with experience at this level or above.
I’m also really happy that we knocked back yet another bid for Mbick. That level of commitment from the owners instead of cashing in when we are going to lose over 10mil this season is not to be dismissed. I think they all believe that there’s so much more from Mbick and a few goals and good performances and the bids that have come in are likely to double in pretty damn quick.
With 28 senior players, Sichenje to not be registered, Docherty will absolutely leave after the signing of Skipp, the only one that makes any kind of sense is Apter misses out. All the while we have players like Burke, Bell and currently Koumetio either injured or susceptible to injuries, we aren’t going to leave out another defender. You could argue Knibbs but the fact we have 5 players able to play wide and only Carey really keeping Knibbs out the team (yes Grant can play there) it wouldn’t make sense to be them either. Apter will have to move on before another countries window shuts, it’s now up to us and his agent to ensure he gets that move. If he doesn’t, we’ve got an asset that’s only depreciating in value even more.
Excited to see the team once we get a few of the injured players back as to have the depth we do now is something we haven’t for quite some time.

I would never have predicted the number of incomings during this transfer window, particularly after hearing that the club was up for sale.
The transfer team must have worked wonders behind the scenes, what with loosing 3 center backs in the week/day, and the JRS issues, all severely complicating their plans. Top marks to them.
Of course, we wont know how successful the new signings will be until they get their feet under the table, but I would give a provisional and optimistic 9 out of 10.

You would have to say our squad looks at least a "quartile" better than last year... which was the clearly stated aim.4

Not only are we staying up we are going places - big time.Obviously I hope this is the best window for 20 years (gonna take something special to exceed that Chris Powell window) but it’s impossible to say so now.That was a good window in terms of the players brought in but there were nowhere near enough of them. We signed 9 first team players. 5 of them were excellent, two were decent at first and then fell apart, one was rubbish at first then became good and the other was Franck Moussa. When the players were fit it was fine but we still went into the close of that window with Igor, Tucudean and Church as our only striking option which meant Pigott and a 5 year old Grant had to play at times. Henderson was injury prone so Pope had to step up too fast, we only had about 7 midfielders and 3 centre backs, one of whom Peeters was actively trying to force out. Solly had his injuries so we had to rely a lot on a newborn Joe Gomez and Lawrie Wilson at RB a lot.You can't argue with the quality of many of the signings but part of a window being good is covering yourself across the squad and we were so far off it that Peeters was already complaining in August. What's great about this window is with the possible exception of up front we seem to have proper cover in every position for the first time in years2 -

I think it will happen, it sort of has to, I’m just surprised that the transfer of the captain of a championship club has garnered no speculation at all this summer.1 -
I don’t think he can be signed outside the window as loans are window to window.
