Conor Coady is working with Liverpool's under-21s following his departure from Championship club Wrexham

The defender is a free agent after mutually agreeing to terminate his contract with the Red Dragons on the eve of transfer deadline day.

Talksport are going to have a piece this morning about whether there should be games on transfer deadline day. I think there shouldn't, too much of a distraction.

I hate them but you’ve got to applaud Millwall’s transfer business last couple of years.

    Sell Esse for £14m
    Replace with Azeez
    Sell Azeez for £15m
Replace with Esse back on loan

Also picked up another £2m from Flemming going Ipswich

Sorba Thomas to Hull confirmed, so at least we won't have to suffer any 50 yard cross shot goals from him on Saturday.
Come back Thomas, no more cross/shots for you to be afraid of!

Was mentioned on our thread yesterday, but Oxford’s Brian De Keersmaecker went to Bristol City on loan

This feels risky given he's not had a Preseason to speak of. Good player if Bristol City have the luxury of waiting for him to be fit.

Why do PNE have Ian Dowie on their seats?

Elliot Lee also had his contract terminated

I've not seen anything about George Dobson or Davis Keillor-Dunn, the latter was meant to be joining Sheffield Wednesday

Yes. By my fag packet maths we’ve made £43 million over the last few years by selling Fleming, Tanganga, Esse and Azeez alone. The four of them combined cost us a grand total of approximately £2.7 million. And we’ve got Esse back for nothing. Got to hand it to our recruitment team. They’ve been superb since Gallen came in.

As an aside I think I may have to review my prediction that you lot are going down. You’ve had a decent window and made some solid signings. I could see you finishing comfortably mid table which would be a massive improvement on last season.

I wouldn’t go that far lol. I’ll stick with my prediction for us. Top 8 but only just.

Its painful to say but this kind of stuff is PRECISELY the kind of business model we need to try and replicate, though luckily it seems we are going in the right direction.

Yeah, well, just you wait until we sell Junior Nkeng to Barcelona for £200m next summer, then we'll be laughing
