    That’s worrying. She brought a lot to the attack last season and the season before.

    I don't know if there's any decent free agents still out there, but if that's all we're doing this window then we're in real trouble if you ask me. Other than Neville and EvE, there's not a lot of WSL experience in the squad. 

    Partido, Azzaro and Boama are all completely new to this league, and given the lack of attacking options across the squad, will be relied heavily upon to make stuff happen, alongside Hutton and Siber who are wingbacks really, and Kenney who was played deeper and deeper as the season went on

    Macateer has something about her but seemed very lightweight. I’m not surprised at the loan but it does leave the squad looking very sparse.

    On the Charlton TV Women's show on Thursday Jemma White said there would be some additional players.

    Agree with Weegie - McAteer does have a bit of a spark, but she's also so small and easy to push off the ball (though to be fair, you could say the same about a few of our players). She was never a regular starter last season, so I don't think she was going to feature much in the WSL. But it is an attacking option gone, so let's see if we managed to bring anyone else in yesterday.

    Fitzgerald is much more fragile.

    Mary did more training with her boyfriend who is a long distance runner. Her stamina is better as a result.

    What a deadline day. Needed to strengthen in multiple areas and so far all we know is we lost a player. Either we did a bit of secret business yesterday or, most likely, we'll be looking at a few free agents to pad out the squad. The club posted a video the other day about how we're not just there to make up the numbers but I don't think that's been reflected in the support the team have been given when it comes to transfers. We needed so many signings and we've ended up still feeling a bit short everywhere. I don't know how Hills plans to set up but if it's 3atb then we're woefully short on defenders, wingers and strikers, and if it's the 442/4231 she tried against Leicester we're short at full back as well. The signings we have made are almost all gambles and we're one or two injuries away from having to play some actual children against some of the best players in the world. It was always going to be a tough season anyway but just like in January I don't think the owners have given anything like the support needed this window. Maybe today the social media will announce we made 3 new club record signings at centre back, midfield and up front but I suspect Hills is once again going to have to make a lot from very little.

    Don’t know for sure but I’d be surprised if much of the crowd was freebies. They have a team of absolute superstars and there’s the factor of London based Man Utd fans. 

    They didn’t start any English players but two came off the bench, including ex Addick Freya Godfrey.

    I doubt they’ll be back at The Den. Their fans and Millwall’s fans hated that they played one game there last season. LCL are planning to build their own stadium and I’m sure they’ll do it. Their owner claimed this week that their new shirt sponsor deal is higher than some PL teams. They’re a serious financial outfit

    The latest is that they have abandoned plans to develop a stadium at their training complex and want to play in East London.

    Oh god no. I worried when I saw the picture but hoped I was wrong. Hawa Cissoko the human red card. Absolutely honking player, I used to watch her for West Ham and cringe. Maybe she will magically prove me wrong this season but I cannot think of a player I would less have liked us to sign
