Civil records for marriages started in Ireland in 1845 and it only became a legal requirement to register birth marriage and deaths in 1864 - seven years after Bessie's birth but here is a copy of her baptismal record. Not surprisingly the Boyds were Church of Ireland and she was baptised at St Peter's, Aungier Street, Dublin on 14th October 1857, having been born on September 24th 1857. The Boyds lived at 9 Holles Street which is now part of the National Maternity Hospital, Dublin.0

I know and probably not a surprise as I can’t see anyone has her exact date of birth. Not unusual either for some in those days but perhaps a bit surprising, given her family status, that her date isn’t recorded anywhere.KBslittlesis said:Cheers @TelMc32 just can’t dig out a birth certificate.
