JRC moved to us to play midfield and not WB, no way he’s playing RWB I think

    Okonkwo
    Mesik Jones Bindon Bell
    Ouma Skipp
    Grant JRC Campbell
    Leaburn

Nathan is going to at least start the same with 4-2-3-1

Bell at LB is risky because of his Injury record and 2 new defensive midfielders could be brilliant or a disaster !
JRC gets the 10 job which he did when covering Carey before.
Grant and Campbell back to the flanks with them changing during the game.

Leaburn needs to at least get through 60 before Mbick takes over. Hopefully he's not too battered or he won't make the next game.

I will be amazed if he starts with a formation different from every other match this season.

Think we can work out that Burke been left out of the 25
  • Jones and Campbell wondering how long they'll be playing before they get a rest...
    (Credit to their fitness actually)

Every goal they score is the energy boost equivalent of a two match rest

Excited to see Ouma get some minutes.  Still hope he brings “Parker” levels of energy.
Also like to see Mesik again as I think he’s got a lot to offer - albeit on the left as opposed to the right.

No idea what to expect from Skipp

if anything I’d say maybe playing with wingbacks today jRC on right and Mesik on left
Ouma Skipp in the middle and Grant, TC and Miles as the attacking trio
it’s different and it’s bold.  Only time will tell if it works
  •           Bindon, Jones, Bell,
    Mesik                                   Campbell
                 Ouma, JRC, Skipp
                    Grant, Leaburn

Don’t like Campbell back at wing back. But this is my guess at what the most likely formation is.

It does point to Burke unless the loop hole with Brooks has been followed but being a loop hole not everyone may have sussed it out !

The Rak-Sakyi replacement not even making the bench while Mrs Apter's Baby Boy is on it???

The real unknown is how do Stoke play? If they have strong wingers our midfield and flanks may be pinned back and full backs tested more fully in defence. As long as everyone enjoys it, that's the main thing.
Since when has enjoyment been a part of playing for / supporting Charlton? Hav'nt the past years of suffering and despair taught you anything?

Time for JRC to really try and nail down a spot in the team? No better chance than now.

I doubt the Tottenham Ouma is the best way to decide about him.
I think he has got something about him.
  • An "interesting" line up.

NJ couldn't be throwing us (and Stoke) a flanker and reverting back to this game with a good old 3 5 2?

JRC will play in goal if asked, I'm sure he's just desperate to start games!

I really don't think Jones puts Campbell at wingback ever again after his comments this season and how Campbell has played. If we play 5 at the back he will be a second striker

Why in this being LOL when both Sam's could see this being NJ's formation 🤷🏻‍♂️

I don't think Nkeng was ever the JRS replacement, I think we realised we weren't getting a right winger and weren't shifting Apter so used some of the preserved money to bring in a young prospect early. It's a good time to be Apter, he's the only natural right winger who wants to cut in in the whole squad so if he starts to show a bit in training and does something off the bench he could relaunch his whole career

Skipp and Bin playing together for the first time. Let's hope Stoke are rubbish.

  • 15 minutes to kick off, and the travelling Addicks are giving it large with the TC song, great support as per

Brownie's thoughts on the squad staying away since the West Brom game:

"Not my thing. I'd rather have gone home and spent time with the wife and kids."

I look forward to hearing Mrs B's thoughts on that ...
