The Valley (Home Again)

So I hope you all don't mind this but I noticed I hadn't posted my bands new single dedicated to Charlton, The Valley and the build up to a match day. The vision was to capture the essence of the beating drums in the covered end choir, capture the pride and emotions on the run up to a match day and of course being South Londonds number 1 team. 👀

In the past few weeks it's been played at The Valley and will now officially be played before every match day and I couldn't be more proud! As a lifelong Charlton fan, it's amazing to know that it's connected with the fan base so far and that the club want to build on the momentum.

Anyway, if you would like to check it out please do! If you've heard it or listen to it now, let me know what you think below. And you never know… maybe one day it'll be sung by the Covered End Choir. Thanks all! UTFA!

Just listened to it with a beer in Chania Crete.
    Brilliant.

But I have to say I have been ripped to pieces because I think Kale Bush/ Dave Bowie are tosh
  • Thanks for posting….. I love to try new music…. and I really enjoyed this song….. will now try some of your others too 👍
Now hoping the Covered End start to sing it at games…… would be great to be able to join in with it.
Will listen out for it tomorrow

Let me know what you think of the others. On all the socials as well as the inbox on here. It'll be played around 20 minutes before kick off I believe based on last time. :)

What with this and Braziliance up for an award, is there no end to our talents on here?
I had a dump the other day and it looked the size and shape of a cricket ball.
Not sure if this counts though. 🤔

Curry was taken the night before,  came out in 2 parts but formed a perfect ball shape and was solid 👌
Was tempted to take a picture but didn't know where i could show it, should've thought of this place.
Was a bugger to flush, I know that.

Only CL could go from promoting a song by fans to cricket ball sized shits in half a page!

Back to the music - liked that, great work @cafc-4-life

Ok thanks, I'll listen out for it........... might take a while for us in the West Lower to join in the singing..... but we get there in the end....... probably only clap along for the first season or so though  :)

Had a listen to your other stuff just now and some of it started to grow on me after a few dips into each song...... Lucy (liked the acoustic one especially), Is It Over, Hold on, Another Love Song. Now I know that might sound like faint praise but these days I'm much more into playing Joni Mitchell and James Taylor at home....... but I can still have my moments  ;)
And I will listen to your music some more...... and keep a look out for you on Discogs. Good luck with it all!!

I do really like your lyrics and the tune..........

Oh mate I love this! Is It Over is a favourite and Get Drunk goes off to a gig. If you’re in London you’ll have to get to one sometime, next playing on 10th October. 🍻

This means a lot by the way. Thank you so much!

Really like it. Hope it catches on. Loved meeting you and the stags (?) in the bar pre Orient away back in the promotion season when you were just getting TC’s Sway up and running!

If you could fit the lyric "jogging down the line" in somewhere, you could really have something.

Sounds good mate, a bit mumford
  • Good song mate. Like it.
    As above, "a bit Mumford-esc".
Hope they could play it over the PA in the "Valley of our dreams" before kick off to get us into the swing of things.
Well done and I hope you have success with it and all your music.
