Tough game, they’ve got some really decent players at this level and have started well. Albeit their first 4 games in the league came against teams I think will finish in the bottom 6 or 7, so on paper had an easier run.
With knowing a win tonight puts us top of the league after 6 games, we as a crowd have really got to get behind them and continue to make The Valley a hard place to come and play at. If we win tonight it sets up incredibly well for Saturday and will give everyone the lift again.
Ouma, Mwamba, Alli, Mbick and Kelman all to come on. Campbell to run them ragged. We get the winner in front of the covered end.13 -

We lost on Saturday because Nathan made too many starting line up changes to a settled side. You can’t do that. You have to play the side that’s got used to starting and playing so far this season and introduce the new boys and the limited game time players gradually so that there is a support cushion around them.With all those changes from the start we weren’t able to adapt and overcome the dodgy refereeing decisions that went against us. It also meant extra pressure was put on those players so that kicking/passes/punts often went straight to opposition players.
those same players who some on here are basically calling not to be played again will probably be lauded as great signings once they get to play in a side that started with a (mostly) settled line up.9 -

Agree with building the lad's confidence up but how Ouma got ahead of Mwamba and Coventry to be the defensive midfielders along with Skipp making his debut was an accident waiting to happen especially with young Bindon trying to get an understanding with Lloyd which also broke down when Hirst scored.
Hopefully his pal Collins didn't say look on Charlton Life to see what you scored on the players ratings, as it was so low he neatly fell off the bottom of the page 😱
Being excellent in training doesn't always show up in matches as I found out at the low level I tried out my skills as a coach and manager !
TBF my type of kidology, organisation plus a modicum of luck meant my lads overachieved. 🏆
It's a tough gig being a manger or head coach in full time Pro football now, as the sport science and medics have a much bigger say than 'back in day.'
Arsenal wouldn't have won the Premier I believe if Rice who was carrying an injury at the business end of last season was rested with 6 games to go.
No easy answers but a decent squad is needed and we need Timothy Ouma to set up to the plate ASAP when called upon.

He's not been given a chance yet. If the manager picks him.them we should trust his judgement. If he plays and he's shit again then he should trust our judgement. I do think.he will come good. like to see Apter Grant Campbell with Leaburn up top Skipp and Coventry in mid and the back 4 pick themselves … big night for Bindon after two poor errors and also AO really want to see him commanding his box and taking the pressure of the defenders2 -

It isnt unlike Jones to say a player will miss out and then they end up on the bench.
Hopefully Kelman makes it at least, will be good to have a different kind of striker to what we have for options.1 -
Draw tonight and beat Portsmouth Saturday and that will be 14 points from 7 games.
Considering the meltdown following our pre season friendlies that will be quite an achievement

With our start its a game at home we should be looking for a win but with the defensive issues we've got atm I'd be pretty delighted with a point.
I've stuck us for a win on my midweek acca but have been looking at that thinking, that was a bit foolish and more hopeful decision!!

no point in risking players (Kelman/Edwards) who need u21 minutes - this is an important game and a 6 point week would be absolutely awesome for us. Even 4 points would be decent
Creative selection will mean playing Mesik at Right Back probably but he seems pretty solid provided he's not overly exposed. All depends how the game plays out.
QPR have a few missing but are going well - my QPR mate is as excited as he has been for a number of years with the current crop so I am not expecting an easy game at all - but Chair always scares me so his missing will be a bonus. Kone appears to be having a crisis of confidence so i'll stick a tenner on him to score tonight

We’re the main game on Thai TV tonight, so alarm is set for 2am. Hoping for a good response from the boys tonight, even considering the continued injuries and now suspension. After the weekend, I’ll take a decent performance and a draw, then see if we can return to winning ways on Saturday.3

I'm not saying QPR are a bad side but not sure I'm yet buying into this "QPR are a good side, I'd take a draw here." Their fixture list has been very kind, they've beaten Portsmouth, Cardiff and Blackburn, failed to beat Bolton at home and then lost to the first "Good side" they've faced in 'Boro.
It'll be tough of course but, at home, we should be looking for nothing less than a win.14 -

you're clearly one of those who read some comments about Ouma so has already decided he is, was, and always will be crap. Most qualified scouts can tell in half a game if a player is half decent (which I am, and he is) but even at the top level it takes a few games to form an accurate opinion on a player's suitablility and potential. I'm inclined to go along with Phil Chapple and the analysts we employ rather than some dickheads on twitter who post for engagement and some similarly lumpy-headed morons on facebook.18 -
