JRS failed his audition at Stoke and of the remaining fit players only Alan Mwamba has played anything like enough to warrant consideration

you're clearly one of those who read some comments about Ouma so has already decided he is, was, and always will be crap. Most qualified scouts can tell in half a game if a player is half decent (which I am, and he is) but even at the top level it takes a few games to form an accurate opinion on a player's suitablility and potential. I'm inclined to go along with Phil Chapple and the analysts we employ rather than some dickheads on twitter who post for engagement and some similarly lumpy-headed morons on facebook.1 -
Gosh this game has come round quick, I'm still suffering from PTSD after Saturday. I can see us losing this one tonight and hopefully get a result Saturday.1

Wish I could like this post more. Chapple and NJ are a successful management team who see the player every day in training. Yes he’s a risky recruitment but with our tiny budget we have to take risks. The guy has played a game and a half in English football, he might adapt really well, if not he’s only a loan.Swisdom said:

Tough game, they’ve got some really decent players at this level and have started well. Albeit their first 4 games in the league came against teams I think will finish in the bottom 6 or 7, so on paper had an easier run.
With knowing a win tonight puts us top of the league after 6 games, we as a crowd have really got to get behind them and continue to make The Valley a hard place to come and play at. If we win tonight it sets up incredibly well for Saturday and will give everyone the lift again.
Ouma, Mwamba, Alli, Mbick and Kelman all to come on. Campbell to run them ragged. We get the winner in front of the covered end.1 -
That’s the whole point of them being a subs bench it’s impossible to have a bench which is just as good as the starting XI. I’d be looking at how many are we certain can’t play at championship level and there’s only 2 which is Laqaretabau and Brooks. One of which won’t even be making the bench when we have 4 defenders out injured and 1 is a 3rd choice keeper and you have a 1% chance they’re going to be needed off the benchSouthbank said:

Well a win is important, a draw is the minimum, but you do not play for a draw, as you can come unstuck in this league!. QPR are nothing special, but you have to have respect for the sides you play against. Home advantage will be the difference, Come on lads, the supporters expect you to put in a shift, forget about Stoke it is gone, done...... until we play them at home!
Let's hope we do not get a ref like Saturday, that is all I ask.4 -
The Championship season's starting to take shape, new managers and players bedded in, tactics sorted, weaknesses and strenghts becoming apparant, BUT it's still early days
Our form has dropped off the last 2 games, both us and QPR lost the last one, we have the worst goal difference in the top 10, SO, room for improvement for us both in attack and defence.
This game will be a good test. Local(ish) derby, London pride at stake. I reckon out midfield potentially is in the best shape it's been for a while, same applies to the goalkeeping.
The Stoke game shoudn't get us too downhearted, an expensively assembled Potters team seemed to score with every shot they took, we kept battling and showed good spirit
QPR will be looking of course for some reward from this. I don't think they'll get it. We'll win after the usual difficult game to get us back on track. 2-1 to the Addicks2 -

Hopefully the lads play confidently and we keep a lid on the game, just don’t want it getting away from us early doors.0 -

Normal to be feeling a bit edgy off the back of a 4-0 defeat and with a few injuries and suspensions to work around, but, while we've had the odd day like Saturday under NJ, I can't think of many times we've gone back to back playing like that and getting similar luck. Much as we didn't play well, there we didn't get many breaks go our way either which definitely influenced the result.
I feel like we don't have great record vs QPR, but I'm reckon NJ will have them "at it" again tonight and I would happy with a reaction and a point. 4 points from the next 2 at home would consolidate and fantastic start.0
