One defeat and the manner of it changes so much. But with 10 players missing tonight it will be tough. A point would be great, a clean sheet even better. QPR to nick it 1-0.

Don’t give up on the lads yet, think how happy you will be after the win!!COYRAFKABartram said:Not feeling it tonight at all, which is bonkers given we could go top of league.
Fear a disappointing evening1 -

Owing to various engagements of late this is my first home game of the season. I can't wait! Always good to be at my spiritual home.
Let's see how I feel at 10pm...0 -
When did Qpr turn into Barcelona then , 2-1 COYR3

Has there ever been any beef between us and QPR? Feels like such a vanilla derby game.0

Completely different prospect though. Key player playing through injury at the end of a season with a historic first title in forever on the line vs at the start of a season where the risk is that if you push someone too hard they pick up a proper injury and end up missing a big chunk of the season.soapboxsam said:Elthamaddick said:

Agree with building the lad's confidence up but how Ouma got ahead of Mwamba and Coventry to be the defensive midfielders along with Skipp making his debut was an accident waiting to happen especially with young Bindon trying to get an understanding with Lloyd which also broke down when Hirst scored.
Hopefully his pal Collins didn't say look on Charlton Life to see what you scored on the players ratings, as it was so low he neatly fell off the bottom of the page 😱
Being excellent in training doesn't always show up in matches as I found out at the low level I tried out my skills as a coach and manager !
TBF my type of kidology, organisation plus a modicum of luck meant my lads overachieved. 🏆
It's a tough gig being a manger or head coach in full time Pro football now, as the sport science and medics have a much bigger say than 'back in day.'
Arsenal wouldn't have won the Premier I believe if Rice who was carrying an injury at the business end of last season was rested with 6 games to go.
No easy answers but a decent squad is needed and we need Timothy Ouma to set up to the plate ASAP when called upon.
Sports science is very advanced. We will be monitoring every player and watching those in the red zone. We already know of a number playing through knocks as Jones has mentioned. I'm sure there are more as we've had a few unavailable since pre season so most will be playing through due to lack of alternatives...0 -
The b-mob versus the c-mob? Named after C for coach, as they used to take a coach to all away games, so a source tells me.SantaClaus said:Has there ever been any beef between us and QPR? Feels like such a vanilla derby game.1 -

Take a point
qpr are too skinny to risk a house , so maybe a small child or something worth a gamble0 -
I Hope so too or the knives and forks will be out.soapboxsam said:Elthamaddick said:

I’m not coming tonight. I got to the station and loads of trains cancelled. Il watch it on sky and turn the inane drivel of their commentary off and buy the Charlton commentary and hope it syncs0

Soz I’ve put this on here but want to help find owner…👍,following on from our trip to WBA,after the game & when it had nearly cleared out,I found a Blue & Red Nike puffer jacket under a seat half way down stand…I did mention to a steward if anyone comes to claim it…(I didn’t want to leave it there) that il take back with me & hand into to The Valley reception…I’m on way to ground now & ll do exactly that ok…so if anyone knows who’s it is or could anyone out on other Charlton platforms so it can be returned to its owner…thanksCmon U Addicks…❤️🤍2

It’s the main game on Sky tonight so I’d imagine the commentary will be a little better than the red button gamesWhitehawk1 said:I’m not coming tonight. with the game on Sky and schools being back, it does change the decision on bringing younger kids to the game. The family stand is always tons quieter for evening games, you can spot where the younger ones are left at home0
