I reckon he might not win it for September either.
Based on the fact that it isn't results based, he might still be in with a shout. Bonus points for the cat comment.

Good, everyone can be pissed off about a lack of recognition and use it as fuel

Paul Heckingbottom has been awarded the September award already.

Can only think they made that choice because they had 2 away wins (compared to our 1) with one of those being an 'emphatic 3-0', but still weird going with a team who got 7pts to our 9.

"Manager of he month award" has lost credibility and is virtually meaningless now.
Indeed. When you see that one of the 'judges' is Don Goodman,a journeyman footballer, its credibility is in question
That panel needs Clinton Morrison on it.

Baggie with a metal plate in his head.
Obviously not happy with dropping points against us. Lol

I did like Jones’ comment on it that he would happily be nominated nine times a season but never win it because of what it would mean for the overall picture of our season.

Am I the only one who thinks this is good news? In the past,  the boss wins it and you promptly go on a losing run.
  • It’s pretty amusing and bemusing. Even Matos must be thinking “eh!?!”

We've already gone three winless in September anyway! We got the curse without the award. Typical Charlton.

Was shocked when I saw NJ didn’t get this. There’s no way this isn’t a personal issue between NJ and the ‘judges’.

If you think about it’s not wrong it wasn’t automatically Jones.

If it simply goes to whatever team gets the most points than it’s less a manager of the month and more team of the month.

    It means nothing of course.

Long gone the days when it was Bells Whisky and the manager might actually have liked the generous / oversized bottle of booze by way of tangible reward. 🤔

If it was for team of the month, then you would think that the captain of the only team who had 100% record & was nominated would win, player of the month.

Good grief Bells whiskey, if that was the reward Jones would be putting out the team from the tottingham defeat every game.

After tonight's tonking of Wrexham it makes the decision even more embarrassing.

Good stuff- winning any manager of the month award historically means our next month is a write off.

Ivor Davies said in his "explanation" for his vote  " Swansea ...winning three matches and drawing the other"

In August? One of the "three" was a friendly, on 1.August.

And they lost one, in the EFL cup.

He's a "Sky Bet trader", whatever that is, who literally doesn't know what day it is, or which month it is in
    :D .

    Embarrassing

EFL didn't want to be seen to be endorsing animal cruelty.
  • Nevet mind the EFL Championship Manager of the Month, who won Watford's award?

They've normally got two or three contenders each month.

Hopefully he will win it at some point and volley the award further than he would a cat.
