Hi one and all, Cardiff City today, last match before the International break…
Welcome to another Match Thread, and yes, yet again another lunchtime kick off and a trip to Wales and the Cardiff City Stadium, not a great fan of these early kick offs, but here we are, so Cardiff City are currently sitting in 21st spot, and looking for their first win of the season after 4 draws and 3 defeats, lets not give them what they want today,… this is one that we really need to do well in.
Regarding team news, all the usual suspects are still sidelined, however a glimmer of hope is the fact that Josh Edwards could well feature today, maybe from the bench, but that's a positive on the injury front, Cardiff, meanwhile, will be without Will Fish, Calum Chambers, Rubin Colwill and Isaak Davis, but Dylan Lawlor is set to return.
We've faced off with Cardiff on 76 previous occasions, winning 33, the Bluebirds 22 and the remaining 21 encounters ending in draws, we last met in June 2020 during the Covid-19-affected season, playing out a goalless draw at the Cardiff City Stadium, our last league win away at Cardiff City was in March 2015, as we came from a goal behind to win 2-1 thanks to late goals from Tony Watt and Yoni Buyens. there's some names from the past…

There are likely to be arguments tonight as the stewards have made the decision to drop allocated seating and it is now sit where you like.
I don't know how many seats we sold in block 119 (perhaps 50-100?) but that block is completely shut off and everybody who was sat there has been moved to the other blocks (which sold out).
Since there will be more fans than there are accessible seats, several people will have to stand on the stairs.0 -

Good side. Excellent to see Josh back, gives us another defender on the bench.
That we are able to leave Mwamba Apter and Mbick off the bench shows we have more depth than of late and better than any point last year.
I reckon with Alan it's a case of Jones giving him some time away from the side after an initial spell. He can work on some things and come back stronger after the international break. So much better than forcing young players to keep playing out of necessity.3 -
