Congratulations, as we're up. Still be nice to wrap this game up with a win6

Wicket to Muyeye
241-9 for a lead of 1173 -
And predictably can’t get the tailenders out!
Thankfully it doesn’t matter.
I’ve been a harsh critic of Kent and the ineptitude of players and performances but they’ve really turned it around this season. So, wholehearted congratulations from me.3 -

The bowling has been key. Milnes has been excellent on his return, while the short term signings Taylor and the 2 Bangladeshis have made a real difference.
Muyeye somehow burgles a wicket, that's a bonus!5 -
Final wicket to Ekansh
241 all out
118 to win7 -
Let’s be honest…….who amongst us saw this coming back at the start of the season, I’d suggest not a single one of us.👏👍😁7

Addick Addict said:Now that Warwickshire have secured the Division 1 Championship, I can reveal that I had, prior to the season, in two win singles and an each way double, Warwickshire at 12/1 and Kent at 14/1. Shame we couldn't win Div 2 but I'll take the Warwickshire win, place double and promotion for Kent of course!SoundAsa£ said:Let’s be honest…….who amongst us saw this coming back at the start of the season, I’d suggest not a single one of us.👏👍😁

Brilliant end to the season. I’ve really enjoyed my days at Canterbury this summer, maybe not quite so much at Beckenham, but it has been so much better than 2025.Re-signing Matt Milnes was inspired. The overseas signings have also been terrific additions, in particular young Hasan, and Keith Dudgeon has been a steady contributor all summer.
Well done to Adam Hollioake and Simon Cook.9 -

A great tonic to Charlton and the international break . Really pleased after the start of the season .5

Crawley has gone off like a train (24 off 17 balls) but, at the other end, Compton is now out LBW for 4 (12)
29-14 -
After last season's poor showing I've not followed Kent much this season. Pleasantly surprised is an understatement, well done Kent and well done those attending.5

I reckon we can forgive Compton.Addick Addict said:Crawley has gone off like a train (24 off 17 balls) but, at the other end, Compton is now out LBW for 4 (12)

Think the regulars on here are particularly pleased that you've been able to attend so many games & see success in person following your health issues.Peter_G said:Brilliant end to the season. I think we might win now1

Kent win by 8 wickets just to prove that promotion was no fluke - 8 wins compared to last season's sole victory.15

Superb - what a transformation from the low of last season. Everyone at Kent deserves a huge amount of credit for making Kent fans so proud of the county side again.7

That’s so kind of you both to say so. There was a time when I was hospitalised in early June when I genuinely didn’t think I’d make it to the end of the cricket season, let alone another year of the Addicks. But thanks to our amazing health service and some amazing medications that have been developed in recent years, I’m doing so much better. The heart failure team at the Princess Royal Hospital are planning to discharge me back to my GP after 16 months in their care. And the leukaemia that was so surprisingly diagnosed in June has subsided to a relatively dormant state. I still have symptoms, and while it’s incurable, it is treatable so I’m being regularly monitored.
Kent’s late season surge in the Championship has given me a real boost.15 -

Promotion form.

Only Durham, of the other 17 counties, won more in factMiserableoldgit said:

On a serious note it's lovely to
have Kent back in the top flight.

Well played lads, now stay there!7

Good job lads , see you back where you should be in Div 16

Sussex finishing 2nd or 3rd, despite their points deductions and off field problems, is a stunning achievement.
Especially when you look at Hampshire, with all their Indian money, who finished rock bottom, with a hilariously bad FOUR batting points all season

Third in the end! Incredible achievement when the players haven't known for most of the season how many of them were going to stick around. Farby has done an absolutely incredible job and Matt Walker has some big shoes to fill as HC next season.killerandflash said:Sussex finishing 2nd or 3rd, despite their points deductions and off field problems, is a stunning achievement.

Hopefully Robinson gets a central contract in the next couple of weeks which will massively help the finances.
Hampshire are an absolute mess. Their batting has been weak ever since James Vince gave up red ball and they just don't seem to want to address it at all instead their overseas are always Kyle Abbott and various other overseas seamers for 3-5 games at a time.

Don't care about them, what has been a very bad few months this has put a smile on my face. Just keep Zak away from the England team!1
